I hope its not true, but a little bird tells me, Carl has left Poole, after being made a scapegoat for the poor results of late.
Well if thats true wheres Marc Jackson, cause he is the only left footer capable of filling carls boots, or is it also true that he is on his way to Poppies in Wessex 1.
It seems a lot of faces dont fit at Poole Town, these are good players, is there a drinking club you must join to get into the first team.
I hope this is not the case.

Lets wait and see if its true first, as there have been loads of rumours recently that have turned out to be a load of rubbish.
But if it is true then it shows that Tommy isnt afraid to make changes. I like Carl and he has been great for Poole for the last 2 seasons, but I dont think he has played well so far this year. What do you think?
...... oh and I also agree that Marc Jackson would do a good job down the left hand side.
Having said that, I would also like to see if Carl can get back to his best.

Don't know what's true or not but I think considering some of the performances latley then I think it would be criminal to let Marc Jackson & Carl go.
I think that Carl his been looking more like his old self of late and has never let us down.
Marc Jackson gave his all everytime I saw him last season and I believe he is good enough to be in the first team.
If people in Wessex1 think these players are good enough then surely we should be playing them so that we don't loose them.

I dont blame Carl for leaving PTFC as he was made a scapegoat by Tommy, there are other players besides myself who let the club and supporters down. yet we still played the following match, when carl was sent to the reserves, Ollie Cherrett was allowed to stay at home.
If your face doesn't fit your out, Tommy has a little clan of players, unless you are one of them your out, i know i maybe next. least with Morro you knew where you stood.
Tonight i sat in the changing room and saw no Carl Woodward, then Marc Jackson walked in, Tommy called him outside, I thought Marc was playing left back, then Marc came in grabbed his bag and left, what is going on.
Last year Marc served the club well, he has not been given a chance this season, i feel he has been unfairly treated, he is not even in the squad, doesn't have a club tracksuit or bag.
When Tommy was first announced as Manager i thought yes he would take us to the next level, I am a player under him, i am now having second thoughts. He has no man managment skills and wants to be one of the lads. Thats not good enough. Im sorry to speak out, but i am frustrated by the big time charlies who have joined the club and i see good players leaving.

WOW strong stuff, but it would be nice if you had the moral courage to say who you are? clearly it is true that there is un-rest in the camp, perhaps you should speak to Tommy and sort it out, we need everyone to pull together, one thing I am dissappointed in is the players lack of discipline, how many of the bookings and sending off's are down to verbal, or petty offences? we really should stamp down on it, opposistion teams know, wind up the "big time" charlies at PTFC they will react we are not good enough to beat teams with only 10 Men, and of course the follow on suspension, TK won't be able to put out his best side when we really need them. The only loser in this is PTFC and the frustrated Supporters.

I understand Carl has gone to Brockenhurst, and whatever the circumstances, I think the first thing we need to do is thank him for all his efforts for Poole Town, make it clear we thought he was a great player and are disappointed to lose him, and wish him a successful and enjoyable time at his new club.
BTW, we won 3-1 last night - apparently Dave Sturgess scored a cracker. The football club moves on.
Doug
PS Pete Jones got there first in inviting the disgruntled player to sort things out with Tom. Even if the points are valid opinions, posting to this sort of forum is only likely to make things worse, and gives ammunition to those that don't have the club's best interests at heart (and I'm not saying 1st Team Player doesn't, just that he's not going about things in the right way).
As a supporter, I'll be looking at all the players as they run out on Saturday, wondering who it was that called his team-mates "bigtime Charlies". Does "1st Team Player" think it's fair that several players will be under suspicion?

Interesting comments Doug, I personnally did'nt know Carl, but I did read the report on the game he played for the reserves recently, and KJ commented on his attitude which was superb with the youngsters, pity Ollie Cheritt did'nt feel the reserves were worthy of his skills that day! Carl will be missed by many of PTFC fans. Interesting yet another yougster (Sturgess) has been tried by TK and by all accounts did'nt let anyone down, 1st young Chivers now him, i believe a couple more (Bayston, Snell?) should be looked at soon, the "better" players might feel that there place is under threat with the youngsters coming through and put that bit more in to there game. Perhaps it is not all doom and gloom at PTFC!!

There seems to be a six-hour displacement on the times shown for posting (as the messageboard is hosted in the USA), so it would appear that "1st Team Player" posted his message at 10.22 on the night of the Tadley match. Not long for someone who played to shower and change, get home, fire up his PC and type his message. Maybe it wasn't a player at all? ?

If you want to know who i am, i am a player that has been messed about since pre-season by TK, I have asked for a meeting on three occasions and turned up only to be ignored by TK.
What i have written is not only my opion other players have spoken to me and they are not happy but wont come forward.
Last wednedsay i received a call from TK and told i was involved in the match, when i arrived he took me outside and told me i wasn't involved, he also told me that Woodsy was infront of me as left back.
I went home feeling really angry and frustrated as i could have left the club for other wessex sides. but TK promised me i was part of his plans. when i went into the changing room on wednesday i was called a scruffy @@@@ cause i hav'nt got a club tracksuit.
You say i must have ameeting with TK this has been arranged by KJ and Chris Reeves each time he has failed to talk to me.
I would of had time to write this as i wasnt even playing because all i was told was to do the warm up!At least with Mozy he would tell me where i stood and what was happening!, With TK i dont know if im coming or goin?
Im 19 what good is just doin the warm up? where is that gonna get me? i wanna be playing football not just warning up! And if it means moving on then that is something i am seriously thinking about!

OK - time for me to add my views on this thread!
As I think Doug did point out in one post in reply to a question, this website is in no way an Official one. It is purely a site I set up when I returned from 12 years working in Dublin and being frustrated at not being able to follow a team I had supported since I was 9. I knew there was a big following for the club by people who live away from the area now so primarily I set it up for them.
The question of it being official has been raised a few times in the last 5 years since I started it. Were it to be official then comments I have made in some match reports (usually about referees!!) would have brought the Club into disrepute with probable fines attaching to same. I have had communication with both Hampshire and Dorset FA and confirmed to them that the views on this site are my own - simple as that.
People often ask why the Directors or Tommy don't respond on this website. Again, I know they do view the website and messageboard but we are all agreed I think that this is not the place for them to comment on any issues, tempting as I know it has been for one or two of them over the last couple of years! For Tommy or Chris to suddenly start posting here would open themselves up to all sorts of unwanted postings from non Town people who would just want to stir things up. As Doug has said they have the popular Club Call line plus the match day programme to air their views etc.
With regard to the 'First Team Player' comment - I too am highly suspicious of any posting like that where someone doesn't use their real name and equally as someone has pointed out I very much doubt if a player could have got home to post it by then. Having said that, whether it is true or not, this is NOT the place for postings such as that. As most footie websites would agree, messageboards can be both a good and bad thing and I have agonised over it a few times myself. On the plus side 95% of postings are genuine and help build a thriving online community where fans can share constructive criticism and praise as well. I'm really pleased that this messageboard attracts so many people and it's great to see the number of postings where other messageboards remain pretty dormant.
However, it is the perfect medium for troublemakers and people with a grudge to create rumours in an attempt to unsettle players / supporters etc. Currently anyone can post any message on here under any 'name' and that's it. I do not want to see this change but equally I do not want to see postings such as 'First Team Player's on here. Something like this is INTERNAL to the Club and must be dealt with in the same manner, ie go and talk to Tommy - do not air your views on here.
If I see other postings similar to that then I will be forced to change the way this board works and that will spoil it for a lot of people. I would have two options:-
1) I moderate the board which is a form of censorship. In this way anyone can still post a message but it gets sent to me first and only appears if I approve it. That's more work for me so not keen on that!
2) As Doug has mentioned, I could change it so that anyone can view the messages but only 'registered' people can post messages. Now, anyone could register but you would have to supply valid email addresses etc before registration is given. This will take away the anonymous postings. Not keen on this as the board could simply die if that happened. I'm sure people would soon get bored if they only read comments from me, Doug, the Fisher boys and Mark E!
Let's try and keep the board in the spirit that it was set up. I personally enjoy logging in every day to see the comments as I'm sure most Town fans do too. I'd appreciate any comments on the options above if I have to go down that route (which I will if the board is abused).
And just to add my comment on Carl. I would like to wish him the very best at Brockenhurst. True, I'm very disappointed we have lost him as he has simply been outstanding for us over the last 2-3 years. My favourite player over that time by a mile and I will remember fondly those galloping runs down the left and the great deliveries into the box (and the odd cracking goal too - Portsmouth RN away last year was a beaut!) Good luck Carl and thanks!
Regards,
Steve B

Thanks, Marc, for clearing up who posted the original note - a constructive and honourable step.
Regarding the attempted meetings and the events of Wednesday evening, there are always two sides to every story. Whilst you've given yours, I still don't think this is the right place to put the other side, so I'd just encourage supporters to pause and give Tom the benefit of the doubt, before rushing to judgement of anyone involved.
Finally, Chris has put an update on the Clubcall line regarding some of the issues raised in this thread, in particular, Carl's departure.

I agree with Steve, but I don’t think we can blame Mark Jackson. If it is true what he said, what else can he do. He has tried to talk to TK (apparently) but still nothing has been resolved. At least this way I’m sure that when Tom sees this post that it will be sorted out one way or another and in the end that’s what Mark wants to do. Lets not forget Mark is a footballer and at the end of the day footballers (should) want to play & not sit on the bench. I think last season although TK wasn’t here he showed he deserved the opportunity to show TK what he can do. But he hasn’t really had it. So if it’s not forthcoming maybe for his own sake he should go now.
* A view not entirely irrelevant to this thread. A lot of players from this level to the Premier League get slated for lack of "Loyalty" and only thinking of themselves. But how often to we see Chairmen, Clubs and Managers display the sort of "loyalty" they harp on about. I think it’s sad that we have lost a player who displayed "loyalty" professionalism and excellent service to this club leave in the manner he has done. At the end of the day managers have to make decisions, they Like/Rate players for their own reasons but I don’t think it would hurt to give players the same thing they demand of them.

Steve B, as a player I read the posts and wouldn't want censorship for the reason you have put.
I believe Marc's mail is driven out of pure frustration and would not be a good reason to change the censorship. For reference Marc is a good fiery little player and playing with him last year this is not the first time he has stormed out of the dressing room. Nothing wrong with a bit of passion!
As for the additional comments not ideal, I know there are 2 sides to every story.
The dressing room is settled, together and there is a good spirit, despite what others may think. Carl leaving is a shame however it's happened and can't be changed. We need to get on with it prove that we are as good as we should be and win the league!
Looking forward to a good game tomorrow and a win!!

In response to Mark (with a "k")
I'll say it again - give Tom the benefit of the doubt, and don't assume that because Marc Jackson has posted his side of the story here, it is the only valid interpretation of events over the last few weeks. I've heard a somewhat different version.
Also, I do not think Marc is fairly reporting the circumstances under which Carl left.
Mark, please feel free to come and have a word with me tomorrow, and I'll tell you what I know (or call the Clubcall, if you'll excuse about the fouth plug on this thread!).

As you all know marc is my son, as they say blood is thicker than water, It s time i stood up for him, i have not intervened whatsoever, i have stood and watched certain things happen to him. So maybe i should have said something to certain people.
I am doing what any other father would do for their son, you tell me any different.
I would like to make this point, Marcs thread could have been withdrawn from this site. this i suggest.
Just recently, i had a damming thread written about me on pitchside, i emailed Mr Starmore and he removed it.
Doug i would like to sit down and talk to you, but you might not like what i have to say, then i would have to leave the club.
I would like to make it quite clear I have also stood up for TK when talking to Marc in certain debates that we have had.
Mozzy asked me to go and get the best youngsters for Poole town this i have and i am still doing, I have already been watching quality 15 year olds for next year. Marc is 19 years of age and wants to play football and he is one of the youngsters i felt would benifit PTFC as he was already part of the first team squad all i had to do was to talk him into staying, when he had a chance to move on to the next level, Marc is a good player and has good technique, many supporters have suggested, he is good enough to be part of the 1st team squad. It was me that stopped him joining 2 Wessex 1 clubs and a Screwfix Premier league club, because i thought he would be part of PTFC long term. If you read the article marc has written, there is a lot of anger and frustration in it, also there are remarks like big time charlies, thats not marcs words, I was at a match when we lost to Moneyfields and i heard that expression bellowed across the pitch between two players, we were losing the game it was frustration, supporters heard it, they were frustrated and made comments on this site about it.
Marc has spoken out because he feels rejected by TK, some of the words used are not actually his words, they are infact other players frustrations which marc has honed in on and has released after wednesday event.
I have been to training and heard senior players moaning, about this and that, so these words have been picked up and laundered by a 19 year old who feels rejected by his manager. All he wants is to play football for PTFC, like all my players in the reserves whether youth all senior.
The 1st Team have had a dip in there performance's of late, lost a few games, players have played badly. There is frustration from the committee, management, players, supporters, this site is were they air their opinions, whether an alias or by name, next day they may think i shouldn't have done that. At least marc has owned up, you now all know his frustrations he wants to play football, as anybody heard of passion, but has felt rejection.

Firstly I would like to wish Carl good luck and thank him for his wonderful service to Poole Town.
My opinion on Marc Jackson, really want to see him playing in a red & white shirt, I can also understand his frustration(if events are true) at not playing. I can, however understand why people feel that it should be kept internal.
I think that sometimes the fans could do with more official comments in whatever form to keep us informed and maybe to stop some of the gossip.
p.s I hope people aren't getting bored with my posts!!!!

Not sure how much of your post was refering to me. But I dont believe I have said anything out of place. And Infact the only people who do the the ins and outs of both situations is the management and the players. And KJ I am delighted by your posting on board. Contrary to what some people think I cant see any harm where neccessary forthe club to release an official press release via this site. As many other boards like Dorchester do the same.

Firstly I would like to add that when I started my post earlier today Marc Jackson's wasn't yet up there but as soon as I posted mine I saw that his had gone up as well.
And I have to say, the last few posts have only confirmed to me what this messageboard should be about - lots of people who CARE all contributing in a positive way and believe it or not I actually feel some positive vibes from those last few posts (and no Mark - yours'aren't boring!!)
There are obviously things that need to be cleared up and hopefully they will be soon. Good to hear from Spills that morale isn't as bad as has been touted. I'm quite convinced that the entire squad all want to get to the same point this season and it's far more frustrating for them when performances / results don't match their own high standards. It will come right and I believe all supporters have that feeling too.
There is a lot of honesty from these postings and that in itself is a good thing.
Unfortunately I can't make tomorrow's game but best of luck to the lads against one of our old favourites - Andover New Street! 3 points tomorrow would be extremely sweet!
Regards,
Steve B
