Have you ever witnessed a performance like that ? 3 - 0 to the mighty Dolphins over opposition 2 leagues higher. 2 goals again for Charlie & 1 for Gilly. Lamin was superb at the back with Carl throwing himself at everything! The players reaction at the end showed wot it meant to them also........UP THE DOLPHINS ;D ;D ;D

It was a fantastic performance by Poole today. The scoreline was flattering to Merthyr - as it should easily have been 6. A neutrel would hvae thought we were the side 2 leagues above. Merthyr were disappointing but we just never let them in the game in the first half. Bizarrely there best spell was when they were down to 9 men!
Charlie Austin was fantastic again. I know Taffy get s the odd knock on this forum but I thought he was very good today - just a shame he was mouthy and got a card (I believe that means he misses the next round as he got a card against Willand as well). Carl Poore's fantastic tackled stopped an almost inevitable goal which could have turned the match.
It was interesting that Tommy played down the likelihood of Poole wining this match in the press. On this form it is not unrealistic that Poole could make the first round proper - only 3 more games to win!

Great result, well done Poole Town. I wish I'd been there rather than at Dean Court.

Excellent performance today from the lads, I thought at half time it wouldn't have been unreasonable for us to go in 4-0 up. Taffy's ruled out goal looked OK to me, from where I was standing, and but for the keeper touching the ball on to the bar we could have seen another excellent goal. I've watched quite a bit of Conference South football in the past, and I've said it before and will say it again, with a bit more polishing in areas and improved fitness Poole are not far off this level. I think today we saw a clear indicator of how we could compete at a higher level.
Well Done Lads!

Hear, hear m3...................... I think we're in a 'purple patch', slepe, other than management motivation something else is driving these players on, maybe its because some of them have something to prove to clubs that have let them go ? One thing is for certain if they show the determination and desire and believe in themselves they will not leave this season empty handed. As long as they don't become complacent and can keep the excellent work rate up. As a supporter or a neutral watching Poole Town is very enjoyable ;D

Another superb TEAM performance. I wholeheartedly agree with m3. I feel sorry for those who went to Dean Court. I agree with putting Charlie on a contract ASAP. Don't think it can be long before clubs look at him, Gilly, Lammy and others. Also, is it time for another forum collection to sponsor a new hat for Slepe?? :-)

Good result for Hamworthy. Shame about Wimborne :-) My three year old daughter wants to come to Tatnum as "Daddy always comes home happy", problem is she wants a Pink Dolphins scarf, might have to wash one on a hot wash. Any ideas? Did the Merthyr boys drink the bar dry?

Superb - the traffic on the way home didn't matter as I was floating 10 feet off the ground the whole way!
I hope that any match reports (e.g. the Echo, NLP, NLD) get things the right way round and make it clear that Poole had won the game before the sendings off. It might be all too easy for readers who weren't there to see "9-man Merthyr" in a headline and think that we only won as a result of the dismissals.
A big shout out to all the Merthyr supporters, for their contribution to the atmosphere and takings at the bar/tea hut/gate etc. Good luck for the rest of the season to any Martyrs reading our forum - keep the faith.

Wellsworld
You weren't the Bournemouth fan that texted Radio Solent to say that you would be watching Poole for the rest of the season were you?
Still, the Wells family was represented at Tatnam - just waiting for the rest of you to see sense.

No, it wasn't me. I did shout my agreement thru the car window though. And don't start lecturing me about loyalty, I'm off to Hamble tmrw morning to watch the mighty Poole Town U14's in the Hampshire Cup! Now thats dedication Edited to say - and I don't mean watch in a Gary Glitter way.

A couple of supporters asked me about who we might be drawn against in the next round.
The draw is normally published Monday lunchtime.
According to a thread on Tony Kempster's discussion boards the draws remain regional as follows
"At 2nd & 3rd qualifying it is split into 4 regions: North, Midlands, South East, South West at 4th qualifying it is split into 2 regions: North, South From 1st proper it is national. "
I'd guess we will be in the South West pot - together with the Blue Square South teams in our region.
What's the betting we get Hamworthy Utd or Bashley?

Will that be your Wimborne Town supporting son playing for Poole U14s?
Now that would be dysfunctional.

That has to be the best game ive seen in ages, right from the off we were at em,like has been said earlier, you`d think we were 2 leagues higher. As for their fans, listening and watching them argue with their goalie and defenders was histerical, just a shame the lardy one in the white shirt used so much foul and abusive language, there were kids everywhere, but hey,at least he and all the others clapped the Poole boys off at the end, that was nice. I say bring on our six fingered friends from across our old lifting bridge in the next round of the FA Cup!!!!!!!!Then send them packing back across the water with their 2 tails between their 3 legs!! Another good crowd today but i did think we`d get over the 300 mark, still not far off. Great performance boys.
UP THE DOLPHINS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Superb - the traffic on the way home didn't matter as I was floating 10 feet off the ground the whole way! You're not the only one, I've just been over to Reading and back to do some work ( went past the MadStad, what a fantastic Stadium that is ) Hardly remember any of the journey as I'm still buzzing ;D Not to forget the total 5K plus FA Cup winnings so far (that must come in handy for the club in these hard times). I heard the Merthyr lads nearly drank the bar dry before the game haha Good Luck to them for the rest of the season.
