Solid performance from the Dolphins with a 'Rotated side', giving some players a rest and putting other members of the squad to work. L & F were no mugs and came with a good attitude, forcing a couple of saves from Harvell early on. Poole went in at Half time 2-0 to the good with an own goal and one from Jack Swan, with another goal disallowed. Bailey Pearce and Gilly added in the second half to tie the game up and give us seven league wins on the trot to head the table with 21 points.
Well Done Lads!

Well done indeed! I got up quite early to check so many thanks for the prompt report m3. Good to see the manager rotating sensibly when the opportunity arises.

Yes you may well be right, apologies, I had to go straight to work after the game so may have got things a bit fuddled by the time I hit the keyboard to post the result for the distant fans. Although from where I was standing, right behind the goal, Bailey Pearce's excellent chip was already across the line before Smithy got his head to it. As long as we won.

Shows what high quality the games have been lately that last night seemed a bit dull - yet we won 4-0! Also positive that we could rest our best 2 strikers and some other key players and win so comfortably (even if the score line was a bit flattering).

Just read the article in the Echo, seems TK wasn't too happy with the display which shows how much he wants good passing and attacking football. To be fair to the lads there were a lot of changes so they did well on what was a greasy surface as well. I make you right Peterlep, the opposition looked quick up front in flashes and could have unsettled us early on and made things look not so flattering.

Maybe it was m3, but i was under the impression that it was an indirect free kick, so if it was over the line, it should have been disallowed !!But as you say "as long as we won".

I agree with TK.We didn't protect the back four enough and were poor at keeping the ball. There wasn't enough energy from central midfield, I felt that Sturgess needed to put himself about a bit more, Skelts played the odd great ball put looked a little ponderous in the general melee of the midfield. Other than that most players had a reasonable game without reaching the heights they have achieved recently. To win so easily without playing at their best is surely the sign of a great team ;D
