Charlie Austen............would be my first choice.......but who to play alongside? ? I don't think Smithy is quite right ;D I would like to see Jack Swann get a good run of starts.

Interesting subject, we have an abundance of strikers who are all good in their own right. Personaly I favour Browner, he puts in stacks of effort, is experienced, tricky and tall and seems to work well with Charlie. Charlie is excellent when you consider he's only 19, if he keeps up the work rate and learns from TK, Browner and others he's going to do well. Smithy is very quick and is good cover, I remember watching Teddy Sheringhams debut as a youngster and in some ways he reminds me of him although he needs some more heading practise to catch up, all Smithy needs to do is hold off challenges a bit more. Jack is tricky and can turn players inside out, he's a pleasure to watch and should win a few pens. Philips is our 'destroyer' and will be handy at places like Bemerton, the same goes for Middleton, both strong on the ball they can be very disruptive on opposing defences. TK talked about the forward situation in his notes, when I get time to post it up later for the distant fans I will. It's going to be a long hard season especially if we get some cup runs and with TK's good use of subs we're going to need as much of these forwards as possible.

Yeh, m3. TK said it will be the survival of the fittest. He accepts that with 6 strikers some will get tired of waiting for their chance and want to move on. But who will be the "fittest"?
