Goals from Lamin Dibba 2, James Bailey-Pearce 2, Charlie Austin and a 35 yard screamer from Mickey Hubbard. Very good performance. Full website update tomorrow morning.
Cannot find other Wessex results - only two known:- Wimborne Town 1 - 2 Christchurch Fareham Town 4 - 1 Alton Town
Cheers,
Steve

Thanks everyone. I said we were due for a big score! My 7-1 is the closest prediction I've made this season. Still no goals against and I know it's early days but if Wimborne are not to be in the hunt (as seems more & more likely) then who? Moneyfields? VT? Brockenhurst? Roll on Saturday when we don't have to fret quite so much!

Last night's game was the best I have seen Poole play (admittedly not as long a supporter as many of you). The team were on fire in the first 20 minutes (Hubbard'as strike was absolutely outstanding) - made the next 25 minutes seem a bit of an anti-climax. But full marks to coming out steaming again in the second half.
I thought this was an excellent performance. Our concerns over scoring goals seem to have evaporated, although Steve Smith will have been disappointed to not get in on the action.
Must not forget Harvell's excellent save near the end to keep our clean sheets record in tact.
The other thing to mention was the crowd. Clearly it helps when you are winning comfortably, but the atmosphere was fantastic - evryone is really getting behind the team.
Steve's match report link is currently down so not sure if repeating him or contradicting what he has said!

It was great to see such a turn out last nite. I was expecting to be honest that with the local games kicking off before us that people would have a low turn out with it being a bank hoilday weekend.
peterlap you comments where spot on reguarding the game .......

All the comments are spot on............but just had to say what a privilege to be there last night. I do like this quick style TK has adopted, certainly puts the opposition in a spin ;D My man of the match last night..........and it's very difficult to single anyone out really, but I think Gilly just did it for me. 100% effort.....= Gilly Well done to all the team.

Last few results from yesterday finally up on Full-Time site, i.e.
Hayling Utd 8 Hamble ASSC 0 Horndean 2 Alresford 0 New Milton 2 Lymington 2
Poor old Hamble, lost all 4 games, goals for 2, against 24.
I wouldn't write Wimborne off yet, but would add Moneyfields to the contenders. They've made three very good signings in Scammell, Laidlaw and Blake - see the interview with Tom on Andy Starmore's site.

Slepe - I agree with your man of the match - that was the bit I forgot to say. Many worthy contenders but Gilly worked really hard - great to see we can cope without Trev.

As pointed out loads of effort by all the lads last night. I thought Gilly was man of the match on Saturday also, with challenge after challenge. The lads on fire at the moment.

;DI'm going to buck the trend and go for Lamin as my MOM. Won everything at the back and stuck it in the back of the net twice, what more can you ask for?
