As any football mind will tell you it's the old cliche of 'one game at a time' and tomorrows league encounter is very important, however this Saturday sees us with more than a fair chance of advancing to the next round. That's not taking Willand for granted and as I say - more than a fair chance. As well as more prize money, £1,500, it gives TK a chance to pit us against a higher division team at home and the chance of even more much needed funds for the club. Exciting times which will probably see the excitement grow if we can beat Willand.

:oFrom the fans point of view you can't beat the magic of the "CUP"
Nothing beats the feeling of seeing the non-league sides topple thier league counterparts
And I'm sure we will beat Wellard

just supposing we made it to the 1st round proper and got a a plum home draw against a league team.....where would we play?? Go you Dolphins!!!! Reminds of a Town Fan who used to do a little pre-match training at the George, during a quiet moment in the game a loud and very well-oiled Glaswegian voice would sing out for a good couple of minutes Tooooooooooooooooooooooooooooown!! We knew what he meant then and its great now to see PTFC still has great fans and gaining support by the week

Last time was November 1983! Remember it well - home to Newport County - Drew 0-0 and Derek Courtney missed a sitter in last few mins!! Skipped school and went to replay with my Dad - lost 3-1 - a certain John Aldrich getting a hat-trick (I believe) against us. Whatever happened to him!!?? And Newport County were top of old Division 3 at that time (League 1 now)
Regards,
Steve

We knew what he meant then and its great now to see PTFC still has great fans and gaining support by the weekSpoke with a couple of fans last night, one was from the Surrey area, another was from North Hampshire and likes the freindly feel of the club and has started following the dolphins. Let's hope a possible FA Cup run can influence more support.

A good cup run looks a real possibility. We should beat Willand and then have Merthyr at home - currently bottom of Southern League Premier - so must have a real chance there too.

thank you m3dolphin for posting the programme. The comment about the enthusiasm this year,a lot of it generated by those who contribute to this website is right on!!! Be nice to see the best gate of the season. Further to the website a very good feature which our local ice hockey league has is an up to the minute game situation update which non attendees can access...I know someone kindly did this for the Vase game last year up north any chance of this being done for PTFC cup games???

POOLE & U.S. PORTSMOUTH WIN CLUB OF THE MONTH AWARD
Poole Town have made the perfect start to the season with a 100% record in the Premier Division and two wins in the F.A. Cup. This has won them the Club of the Month award for August which is now sponsored by Errea. League Ground Grading Manager, Norman Cook, is to present the award.
The Division One award was much closer as three teams had 16 points at the end of August. However both Totton & Eling & Blackfield & Langley had lost a game whilst United Services Portsmouth had played a game less. On the strength of the unbeaten start Services are to be presented with the award by Ian Birch, Results Officer.
