Great start to the season - not only seeing a Poole win but also exactly as I predicted. I thought Poole deserved to win by more - with a shot from Bailey-Pearce that hit the post and many squandered chances. I thought Poole looked solid at the back and good in midfield. I am still concerned about the strike force - but thought Bailey-Pearce was very good. Swann coming on seemed to improve things and had a well taken goal. Congratulations to Luke on fist goal of the season - not the expected person! I thought Fareham did not offer up much and rarely but us under any pressure. The Fareham manager was excellent entertainment - seemed to challenge every decision and have to tell his players what to do constantly. Thought he was going to explode at the end when Sturgess went down injured. Anyhow - a promising start to build on. It was also nice to see the U18s getting their trophy - well done to them.

;DGood call with the score peter. All in all a good start to the season and as you say the strike force looks a little lightweight but as long as goals come from elsewhere it's not a problem

The back 4 looked amazing. Did Fareham have a shot?

Thanks DollyFinn. Great news about Wimborne but some other results look a bit ominous notably Brock and VT!

Very good performance ;D
Outstanding at the back, midfield forming a good understanding. In particular Hubbard who played a part in most things. Bailey-Pearce was very lively down the left, with more luck he should have been on the score sheet. Which of course would have made my prediction right (Drat) fierce shot struck the upright and went clear. I was impressed with Charlie and Leigh. And Jack Swann made a difference with his pace, going forward we always looked as if we were going to score.......bring on Brock ;D

I was very surprised (but pleased) by the Wimborne result. Are Brading a surprise team to watch or were Wimborne just off form? Brockenhurst on Tuesday should give us a real idea of how good we are - looking forward to that.

Although, Fareham will be close to the top this season.
