I see the game against Winchester on the above date is kicking off early at 1pm.
Can I thank the club for this as it will mean I can get home in plenty of time to watch Wales in the World Cup Quarter-final after we win our group convincingly. 😉

I'm not sure we should be involved in this particular World Cup WD but good luck to Wales - or will it be Cymru by then?

As a Wales/Cyrmu fan it's really tough, the World Cup is in an awful place and simply should not be going there, but we don't normally qualify for World Cups and may never do so again, certainly in the short-term. There are fans I know that are refusing to travel to Qatar who go home and away regularly so will really miss out, but we can't possibly boycott watching it on the TV too. It may be the only chance we get in our lifetime! Hopefully we'll win it and automatically qualify for North America 2026 when we can all stay with expat instead of in tents in the desert!

As much as I want a Wales win at the World Cup, unfortunately winning the tournament no longer guarantees automatic qualification.

Of course everyone is assuming England will, not only get to the quarter finals, but this will be the one we are in. I hope England do well. For me, this World Cup is only of passing interest. Much more important for Poole Town to win our matches during this time, than England.
