Looking at the table in the NLP I noticed that in 12 matches we have conceded 13 goals. The only team with a similar record arecl Taunton Town who have let in 16 in 15 games. So not only are scoring them at on end. We aren't conceding them at the other.

It is hard to comment on the officials but the problem stemmed from the two penalty decisions. The first was a stonewall penalty. Jake was pulled down in the area as he advanced on goal. Richard Gillespie calmly put it away.
The second looked as first like a soft one. Jake was just inside the corner of the area when a foot went in from the defender. He did make contact and Jake went down. So a second penalty and one which we would probably moaned at. However the consensus was that the ref got it right.
There then was a farcical few minutes where the keeper berated the assistant referee and delayed the taking of the penalty. He tried his utmost to put Gilly off. The penalty was not perfect and was either saved or hit the right hand posts. The keeper then again berated the linesman and was shown a red card. Walton had no keeper on the bench and their captain and number 5 went in goal. Up to this point the No5 was Walton's best player.
For the rest of the game Walton were niggly, confronting the officials and disrupting the game at every opportunity. The ref was really quite lenient but still the casuals ended with 5 yellow cards to add to the red. One player was substituted sensibly by Walton as he could easily have been the second sending off.
More in my match report later.
