Our currently undefeated u21s wrap up their final league game tonight against Dorchester at the Ave, already crowned champions they will want to go through the season with an 100% record. I will post the result later.

A resounding 8-1 victory tonight saw the very talented u21s finish their league programme in style, goals from Davis x3 Lowes x2 Lenard x2 and buck left the watching TK and Shaun Brooks purring as the stats would show possession was probably 85% to Poole, and although at times there maybe the odd thing still needing work, ( heavens forbid the opposition scored!!!!!) to win 8-1 in what was probably the best performance todate by this talented group of youngsters, the hard work and dedication put in by them in training throughout the season under Shaun Brooks really has paid dividends as they finish the season as undefeated "Champions " in this the first season of the Dorset Development league. The first trophy for the club safely pocketed, the attention now turns to the first team to emulate them by winning their league to complete a very satisfactory season, the end of season function should be a double celebration. Well done to all involved., both Nick and I have been immensely proud and privaliged to work with this group and really appreciate thier commitment they all have shown, I hope many of them continue thier progress eventually making the first team in years to come.

Last League game and what a performance. The football played by these lads is 1st class and on a par with a professional club. Been a great season with them and although I hope many will be at the presentation evening I would like to say a special thank-you to Sam Bayston & Manny, who will now become ineligible to play U21 football next season and have kept the faith with their own development with Poole Town over the last 4 years. I suspect both will now progress into Wessex Premier Clubs and remain a great advert for our club.
Also I have to mention both Charlie & Billy, who have trained & played with great enthusiasm & passion and in my view have been the perfect role models. A delight to have in the squad.
And finally both Shaun & Rob, who have coached and managed a side who have enjoyed their games, their training and ultimately have delivered an unbeaten side of talented players who have represented Poole Town FC brilliantly.
Hopefully many of these players will be in Poole Town shirts next season and represent a Vanarama Conference South Side

Astonishing! Well done the u21s! We need to hang on to as many of these youngsters as possible even if it has to be through dual registration. We must all be grateful to the management team of the u21s as well. Thank you.

I am so delighted and proud of what Shaun Nick and Rob have achieved with this squad this season.Tom is equally enthusiastic. It has grieved me that it has not proved possible for a number of different reasons for me to get to all of their games.I would certainly have loved to have been there last night! We will be looking to keep as many of these lads as we can within the Poole Town family that's for sure. we must ensure they are given due applause and credit for what they have done at one of our remaining home games.

A massive well done Shaun,Nick and Rob.With so many talented individuals as you say. So why do we keep bringing in untried or unseen players and not promote the talent within.Surely then we will see them stay and not end up at Wessex clubs next season

Splendid result and let's hope the League will grow in size to really test the youngsters. I suspect the results would be the same but this would give them more competition and, more importantly, game time. Our thanks to all concerned especially the management.

Fantastic job done by all Shaun, Nick & Rob. To see some of these young players step up to the 1st team and not be phased by it all credit where credit due. As a member of the 1st team staff it massive these youngsters get the opportunity to show their talent when they have stepped up its been great to see. The future looks bright well done everyone connected to players. Macca

Many of them have had a chance, Lewis Lyndsay, JD, Morgan Turner, Charlie, Billy, Sam Davidson off the top of my head. It would be short sighted to restrict our scouting to just our own club members.
