A superb team performance with nearly 200 watching ( how HUFC would like to get that in the Wessex) saw our youth win 3-1 in today's crunch game a great header by Dan sharp in the first half saw us go in 1 up at h/t midway through the second half Sam Bayston broke away and rounded the keeper before he was blatantly hauled down, resulting in a straight red card for the keeper who could have no complaints Sam put the resulting penalty confidently away before HUFC pulled one back, before Harley southwick finished off the games scoring, in truth the game result was never really in doubt, it leaves the youth two games left against two of the bottom three to score 5 goals to wrap up the league not counting our chickens but it is achievable will keep you posted on the progress. But myself Chris R and Nick throughly enjoyed yet another victory over Hamworthy at what ever level it is, well done to all concerned. A great way to spend a Sunday evening , I am off home to watch songs of praise!!!

His continued involvement with the 1st team is essential. I'm sure you are more than aware of that. I'm doing my utmost to get to the game on Saturday, you can't imagine how hard it's been to sit at home and know there is a Poole Town game at home. So God willing I'll be able to come.

Mike look forward to having you back, thanks for your kind words about Sam, but as much as it is nice to see him progressing, I also understand the Jump from Youth football to Southern League is massive, for now he should worry about establishing himself in the reserves anything else is an added bonus, I would also point out there are a few others coming through the pipeline who I am sure will also get an oppotunity soon, Nick and TK are constantly monitoring them. But with the advancement of both Will Spetch and Marvin Brooks this season to fully fledged 1st team players, if the Reserves and youth can continue to produce one of these a season then the future for Poole town is very rosey.

As promised an update, the youth played their penultimate league match of the season against Chickerel, On Sunday still requiring to win this one and the still to be arranged last match against Lychet red Triangle, in the process turn round a 5 goal difference to become u18 county champions, and keep them on course for a fantastic double ( when they play Muscliffe u18 in the County youth cup to be played Sunday 22nd April at the county ground 2-30 ko, ) they comprehensively overcame the 1st hurdle yesterday winning 6-0 goals 2 from Harley Southwick 2 from Sam Bayston, an own goal and one from Oscar Tilly, completely wiping out any goal difference issues, now only requiring to win the last game, by any score. Well done to all concerned
