???Dear Mr ****** Thank you for your email and comments about the PTFC possible relocation which have been noted. At present we have not accepted the club's proposals because of local people's concerns. It may be that the club will submit revised proposals in the future. Clive. Thanks stfcinbmth. I'm sure that your'e right m3 but I'm not so sure about Poole Council. Sounds like they've rolled over to a handful of NIMBYS. Unlike the councils in Morecambe, Weymouth and elsewhere which wholeheartedly support their local football teams attempts to improve their grounds or build a new one usually with additional facilities for the public - as in the Branksome proposals. Some councils have got the sense to appreciate what even a moderately successful football club can do for the well being of the town. This also means that if PTFC are champions this season then promotion will depend on upgrading Tatnam Farm. Last year Chris Reeves assured us that it could be done and the club applied for promotion by the required deadline. We need to know if that is still the case!

I'm sure Chris R is doing a good job. I am confident he wants only the best for the club, just as much as we do. It would be nice to go and sit in a new stadium with good facilities purely from a supporters point of view. But what is more important is that the club is providing the opportunity for lot's of young people to take part in their favourite past-time. Success and progress are part and parcel of the overall picture, nothing encourages young people more than seeing others doing well. Sadly, not everyone can see the good in others, only the good in themselves.

I don't think too much should be read in to what is simply a neutral holding reply from Clive Smith which confirms that due process is being followed. An independent report to the council collated and summarised residents' concerns and the club is responding in turn to address them, with amendments where appropriate. I don't think it is fair at all to suggest that Poole council have rolled over.

Fair enough doughhug. I accept that and I accept what slepe says too. Hopefully the club will address the residents concerns sufficiently for progress to be made. In the meantime we do need to know if it is still the case that we can get pormotion this season - assuming we win the league.

Can't get too involved on the forum but be reassured PBC have not rolled over-this project is taking up huge amounts of many peoples time with meetings taking place regularly-4 in 5 days last week-we are working on a big response to the council

I know the club are really working hard to get this proposal through. It would be nice to move into a new stadium for the Southern League.
