I was cheered that Poole Borough councillors were at the big match at Dean Court on saturday to support the Cherries in their effort to retain their league status. I hope they show the same concern and positive support for the Poole Town project. Anything less would be very disappointing.
I am watching this situation very closely.

This is exactly why you all need to lobby your town councilors with letters now. Honestly they do find original letters from constituents hard to ignore and it should have an effect. Go to meetings and show your support but writing letters will have more of an effect to make them think and not see you as "rent a mob" (which i know you are not). My Dad was a Councilor for 25 years and he answered every letter he got (by hand - pre PCs) and I know he thought seriously about each and every one of them. These people are YOUR servants and representatives and they should be held to account by those they represent. It is clearly not good enough (in my humble Wimborne opinion) that your representatives can go to cheer on another Borough's team when you have urgent need for their support and representation. Please make them earn their salt.

Hi Towncrier, Good advice, as supporters we all need to get 'busy busy' with regards to letters. Getting behind BR is a must for many reasons.

As i've written before, and Chris Reeves keeps asking, everybody should write, e-mail, whatever. My father was a councillor in Plymouth, and his main frustration was that people wouldn't do something but leave it to others.........

Every time Chris asks, I write.
As you probably know I have twice written to every Poole councillor - all 42 of them. But towncrier is right, although I am Poole born & bred, I am not a constituent any longer and it is local opinion that really counts - constituents/voters!!!

Bay Radio interview with local councillor at 16:15 Hrs today re’ Branksome Proposal. I wonder who that is?? All I can about The Bay FM is that they have been very helpful to us with regard to having live air time recently, and are very keen to do this every Saurday next season. They are most keen to support their local team As I will still be trapped in Hampshire at that time, will somebody be able to post the outline of the interview?

C'llr John Rampton , who is to chair next weeks council meeting, gave an explanation as to why the meeting was not going to be open to questions etc from the floor. Only those who have previously applied (and had ther applications granted) will be able to speak - equal numbers from "both sides" of course. The interview was short and concise, lasting about 5 minutes. HOWEVER, AS CHRIS REEVES HAS STRESSED THE PUBLIC GALLERY IS OPEN TO OBSERVE PROCEEDINGS. LET'S TURN THE ROOM RED & WHITE.
