Anyone else impressed? Would be good if they did it the whole way along the goal end.

Cool little structure and ideal for cover behind the goals, and yes it would look better the whole width of the pitch.

Looks ok. Where did they get the money for it? Grants I guess.

No, don't think so. According to yesterdays programme the stand is to be named after 'Irvin Brown' and paid for through the 'Irvin Brown memorial fund'. Scroll down this link for more info: www.hamworthyunitedfc.co.uk/

Thanks steve, shows that we're not the only resourceful club around here (Poole area, not Morecambe!).
I think there should only be one major non-league club in Poole. We ought to amalgamate with Hamworthy as "Poole United" thereby solving the ground problem at a stroke - forever.

Brian, I have a cunning plan or two for fundraising up my sleeve once we know what's happening ground wise - something many of us can take part in to raise the funds for such ventures

No surprise that you have another "cunning plan" m3, you never 'miss a trick' as my dad used to say. I look forward to it.
I was serious sterte and probbo, after all we did ground share for a while until (so I understand) they were taking a lot and not giving anything back. It just needs goodwill and good intentions.

Brian, we won't need to merge we have a growing, keen fan base that can rally to the cause and take it on to the next stage gradually

Brian, there are some Poole supporters who, even now, refuse to go back to Hamworthy's ground.
Without going into great detail (which have probably been mentioned before anyway), neither clubs supporters were 'happy' during the 'groundshare'.

Never mind a new stand at Ham what about a great big windbreak. Its always freezing when we play over the border!
I'm glad the Dorset final is now in sunny Weymouth now as well
