Well done boys! I'm sure everyone will agree that we should also pay tribute to all the grown-ups who give up their time to keep all PTFC junior, ladies and youth teams going. Thanks everyone!

Poole Town FC Wessex U10's are a great little team - superb attitude and committment from all the squad members! Coached by the excellent Danny Herrington and assisted by Steve Tozer and Chris Pratt, these boys put on a show every Sunday afternoon. Top of the Dorset U10's Mini-Soccer League and already in the Dorset Cup Semi-Final, they play entertaining football with verve, skill and application. Free to watch...what a deal!

Broadstone TFC 1 Poole Town Wessex FC 2Our young Dolphins had to recover from the loss of an early goal against the run of play against a tough Broadstone side at Plainfield Farm on Sunday in winning through to the final of the Dorset U10's Cup. PTWFC showed great character and no little skill to battle back from that early setback winning through an equalising goal by Jack Tozer and the winner from Dylan Ellis. All the boys worked their socks off with - Bravery & safe hands from Craig Fudge between the sticks - Staunch but cool, controlled defending from Thomas Pratt - Constructive driving force from tidy Luke Nippard - Controlled passing & vision from Samuel Herrington - Mazy runs, close control & crushing volley from Dylan Ellis - Devastating wing play & shooting from Patrick "Crossbar Challenge" McKay - Non-stop trickery, persistence & precision finishing of Jack Tozer Thomas Wolstenhulme and Oli "GUNNAR" Mulhern did not get on this time but THEIR TIME WILL COME and they have already played their parts in getting us there. BIG congratulations to coaches Danny Herrington, Chris Pratt and Steve Tozer without whose hard work and inspiration the boys undoubted skill and application may not be fully realised. NOW GO WIN THAT FINAL BOYS & DO THE DOUBLE!!!! ;D

Will see if Dylan can make an appearance :-) Many congratulations to the senior side in the Vase on Saturday. A great game and what a comeback ! Hope they go all the way to Wembley ! How could we arrange for Dylan the Dolphin to be at our Dorset U10 Cup Final on 20/3/2010 ? Also it would be nice to see a few of the senior players at the match - any chance ?

Let's get in there! League decider Sunday 13th, 2pm ko, Sherbourne Crescent, Canford Heath. Cup Final Sunday 20th, 1245 ko, King George V Playing Fields, Peter Grant Way, Ferndown. Dodgy refereeing last week throughout the game meant the boys drew with nearest rivals Weymouth YFC but Bournemouth Sports are their next hurdle. Go! Go! Go! Attachments:

All the boys will be available to sign autographs etc this Saturday as they are the official mascots for the 1st team FA Vase match v Whitley Bay !
In hindsight it would have been nice if Whitley Bay had brought their U10 team (if they have one !) to Tatnum and they could have played our lads before the 'Big One' ! Would have been a bit of entertainment for the crowd.
Never mind, perhaps we can sort something out for when Poole Town FC go to Wembley for the Final !

Pooetownjnr, it is anticipated to get your team to do a lap of honour at about 14.30 on the pitch, prior to becoming the mascots for the day to receive the applause from the crowd, can you ask Dan Herrington to poss bring the cup with you? please confirm.
