A sad day for the genuine and loyal Chester City fans. I have been to the Diva and seen Oxford play there when both were Football League clubs.
Their debt to the Inland Revenue is less than many other clubs, some even playing at lower levels.
It has been stated before that it is like a house of cards, when one goes, others will follow. I hope that is not the case as a lot of history is lost each time.

One thing they've got which we haven't - a supportive local council which wants to help!

But the chairman did not help - nor the league.
Farsley Celtic gone too. And there are three or four other step 5 and six teams who have gone this season. Talk around here is that Merthyr will drop from the Zamaretto Premier to the Western or Hellenic Leagues.

nor the price of fuel - a lot more clubs will follow if the price keeps soaring!

I wonder what happened to Worksop Town. They were recently made homeless and have a council like Poole's - useless and obstructive!

It is hardly surprising that our councillors do not support us. Just look at their interests as listed on the council website.
Most of them seem to spend their time walking around the Harbour. Probably going round in circles following the 5Km circuitous Harbourside route.
One, however is a ref and declares that it is his aim to make PTFC "respectable", what does that mean and does he help?
Another is a Reading Season Ticket Holder. BUT is also repesents Canford Magna as councillor for Merley and Bearwood.
I am sure he will be right behind us.

I have a few mates who were there at the end. Very Sad. I am told that there is plans afoot to start again, best wishes to them.

And now Grays Athletic will drop from the Conference National to the Rymans - makes a big headache for league secretaries and the FA putting leagues togetther. I do not expect we will get anyone coming down either.

And now Rothwell to quit the Zamaretto - and Bridlington not taking promotion.
They need well organised and go ahead clubs - with stable backing - like ours!!

Wonder what the odds are on Weymouth still going and/or being relegated again next season?
