Don't be so cheeky slepe! This thread has been one of the most successful ever! Is it true that Everton (did I ever tell you that I met Ted Sagar in his pub once?) are having to go for a ground share with some other debt-ridden club?

'TORNADO' what a heap of crap that is!! I went to the West Somerset Railway last Friday primarily for a Class 47 run which we did but as I had taken my father we also had a run with Tornado and I was very dissapointed indeed! Maybe it's because I am not a steam man but I thought it was completely gutless on the gradients and I don't really see what the fuss is about?!
By the way maybe Slepe can set up a thread about 'Taking tut P+ss about everything ;D ;D

Apparently they can't even have a ground built outside of Liverpool!!! And their American neighbours won't share with them

Thanks Steve, my daughter loves steam trains, especially the one's with Daddy's work badge on the side. I'm sure I've been on that one on the Swanage Line?

It wouldn't have been 'Tangmere' you would have 'bashed' as the loco is solely for 'Mainline' use, and only 'visited' the line' earlier this year on an excursion. You would have either had 34072 '257 Squadron' (which I have fired!!!) OR 34070 'Manston'

That's right, it was Manston and Tangmere was at Swanage having brought the great unwashed daaan from the Smoke. My little girl will be out in the back garden tomorrow to see Tangmere though :-)

12/06/2010: 60163 'Tornado' Poole - Canterbury West and return
16/06/2010: 60163 'Tornado' Victoria - Swanage and return!!!
09/07/2010: TBA Waterloo - Weymouth and return

Despite your prediction Steve, this is one of the longest running threads ever! Last Saturday on the MLT you mentioned how pleased you'd be when you started to signal trains on to a branch. This was immediately after expat had mentioned Swanage so I suppose it's the Swanage branch line at Wareham. Is that right, and if so will the main line then be connected to the Swanage - Corfe - Harman's Cross Steam Railway? If that's the case, great news and when will it happen?

There's been a lot of freight traffic over the weekend, is this Slepe's pension being moved between banks? :-)

Yes Brian Swanage is affectionaly called 'the Branch' by us railwaymen. Here is a link so you can see what is going on at the moment... Roll on 2012!!! www.swanagerailway.co.uk/news630.htm
