I hope you dont mind me replying to your reserve team managers comments about yesterdays game. Whilst i accept the younger players on show for your reserves clearly have ability you can't expect more mature players that they will meet through the season to roll over and let them do as they wish. i agree the game was physical but nothing more than they will meet week in week out in their respective division. the comments by their manager were some what disrespectful to Bournemouth Electric indeed the only major incident i witnessed other than the normal run of the mill occurences that happen in a game resulted in our player quite rightly being removed from the field of play. Other than that, to suggest we singled out an individual for rough treatment was over board. The incident that resulted in Mike Glavin's injury who incidently used to play for us and still is friends to many of the team, appeared quite innocuous from where i was stood and i hope that Mike recovers quickly. That said clearly PT reserves have some quality young players who once they get used to senior football will more than hold their own and i wish them well for the season.

To add to the comments made in the report on the game, the electric side the reserves played against consisted of only 4 players from last season - one being asked to leave the field after he retaliated after being kicked three times from behind by one of the youngsters.
The challenge on Mike Glavin was not harsh or deliberate, it was a hard challange and knowing Mike, its part of his game to go in hard. I wish him well in recovering.
You have some good players and with time, you should be a good team but do not get complacent - You beat a scratch park team 1 - 0! - Not an achievement by any standards.

In the words of several great managers you can only beat whats put out in front of you. You dont get prizes for winning 10-0. From What I heard the reserves did their best and won which is all that can be asked of them. And despite Electrics best efforts to turn the match into debacle kicking lumps out of every one and hoofing it from back to front the reserves kept trying to play football. An achievment in its self. Thankfully we wont be playing that lot again

After reading the report on the game all I can say is "Typical Poole Town". The report is extremley inaccurate and exaggerates any incidents that may have occured.
Congratualations to the Bournemouth Electric "overweight & clumsy" players who, without training & playing together before managed to give as good as they got with the only Poole Town effort resulting in a goal. Another overhyped and soon to be underachieving Town side (dont we already have one???)
