To summarise in a word - either mediocre or uninspiring would be my view
Sadly the season felt like it was over by mid Feb - when clear we could not reach the play offs but would not be relegated.
Our home form has been reasonably good (13 wins out of 21) but away form lacking (only 6 wins). Ultimately we were 5 wins short of what was needed to reach the play offs.
Too many games were quite dull and lacked passion - although today's final game in the last 5 minutes was not the case. More games like the second half today would attract many more fans and get a real buzz back in the club.
No real progress in either FA Cup or Trophy.
The positives - Tony Lee's incredible goal scoring record - only missing out on golden boot by 1 goal despite missing 12 games (I believe) ; winning the Senior Dorset Cup (although Weymouth choosing to opt out clearly helped) ; no games cancelled for the weather (the first time in many seasons that has happened).
Off the pitch clearly the biggest frustration and concern for fans is with the lack of any progress/ communication on the new ground. We really do need clarity this before the start of the new season - sadly the confidentiality excuse is wearing thin.
Feel free to add your own views - share your highs and lows and agree/disagree with what I have put here.
Most importantly - see you all again next season when we start again with renewed optimism!

1 positive for me (please correct me if wrong) that we had no home games called off due to the weather!

Certainly a tough season given the quality of the squad and the previous seasons of starting so strongly before covid voided the efforts.
Stadium plans are on the way and the club has apparently identified 25 transfer targets for the summer - a handful of strong recruits alongside our existing players would certainly combat the strength in depth we have lacked this season.
We’re a sleeping giant - we just need the pieces to fall into place. That’s out of our hands. All we can do as fans is support the team. Bring on pre season!

What a finish to the season but I don’t think the Met were too worried moving on to the season we had some very good results also some poor ones, it was clear we are not strong enough in depth (the squad ) however we were not consistent enough I feel with 4 or 5 added to this squad we can have a good go at promotion next season but I am sure a few teams will think that. An added bonus would be to see things progressing with a new permanent home so we all have to keep faith and support the team next season.COYD
