The shop is a great place to observe the comings and goings of our loyal supporters. Many of them give us a cheery hello as they turn up for the game. It occurred to me last week that since the return, we were missing the cheery face of Mike 'Postie' Davidge in the bar after the game due to his sad demise from Covid. Other faces that are sadly missing are Peter Reeves and Andy Orman but there must be others who have not returned. It seems such a long time ago that their names and faces have passed from my memory. Can anyone recall any other supporters who have not returned to the games since the shut down due to their passing or illness? It would be nice to remember them in some way.

Nice thread Rob,
Its good to remember the good old faithful folk that are no longer with us especially the ones we have lost through the continuing pandemic. Everytime we come through the turnstile we both think of Andy Orman who was a great friend. Andy worked with my late father at Poole General Hospital. He was an amazing chap who never ceased to make one smile. The other name that comes to mind is Lizzie Gower.

Any rumours of my demise will have been greatly exaggerated. I just haven't been to a first team game in three and a half years because I got fed up watching football. I got tired of watching grown men cheating, and old men screaming blue murder at officials just because they didn't give the decision their teams way. Walking in the purbecks, which I do most weekends now, is just so much more relaxing. I did go to a few reserve games in the following two seasons, as small crowds meant less aggravation. But of course those don't happen on saturdays anymore. It was only ever intended as a break from watching football for a bit, but the longer I've stayed away, the harder it is to consider going back. Never say never though..
