Hello all,
Posting this on the main board to get as many eyes on it as possible. As a few of you may know (and might have guessed with the output on All Poole Aren't We) I currently have quite a bit of free time on my hands.
As such, I am trying to compile the most in-depth archive of Poole Town information dating as far back as possible.
I am writing this post here with the hope of any sources or help being sent my way. I have got a digital copy of John Powell's book, and whilst it is a good basing point, there is plenty more information I would like to acquire.
I know it is a big ask, but I am hoping fans would be able to lend me their programmes, books, etc so I can scan them and create a digital library of programmes, in a bid to properly archive all available information. Similarly, any newspaper clippings with information pertaining to the club would be extremely useful.
If anybody happens to have pre-made spreadsheets or similar digital files I would be extremely keen to have a copy.
I'm hoping to at least gather all the information pertaining to TK's stint in charge, and currently the only issue I think would be his first season in charge, as the FA Fulltime website omits player details for that season.
The main information I am after is player statistics, so who played when, who scored etc, and for games prior to this century, their date - as John Powell's book only displays the results in Home/Away format, not in a chronological order.
I seem to remember a paper book that I borrowed from someone a few seasons back - perhaps something like a supporters club guide - that had a blue dolphins on the front.
I'd really appreciate anybody getting in touch - either via the forum, my email: jack_t_99@outlook.com or via Twitter @jackt_Media
I would only require any physical copies of programmes, books etc for a few days in order to scan them. I am then hoping to update my website to host all of this archive.
Thanks in advance,
Jack
