As there is no hospitality whatsoever at the ground, can the good people of Poole recommend a local pub for Hendon supporters to gather before the game on Saturday?

The closest to the ground would be the New Inn, a 5 minute walk from the ground up Mellstock Road.

Thanks for this, I’ll check out the options mentioned on here. We should have 40-50 coming, our crowds have gone up a little this season and we’re playing well. Question: do you have to wear a mask inside the ground? That’s what the lengthy regulations seem to indicate...

Before our match (the only one that matters) many pubs, due to covid table service only & the Merseyside Derby could well be full.

Are there any other clubs operating this policy or just Poole? And does this include snorkels, they might be needed if it rains a bit on your pitch?

Are there any other clubs operating this policy or just Poole? And does this include snorkels, they might be needed if it rains a bit on your pitch? Guidelines and actions needed are changing all the time. We have been trying to keep all our visitors fully informed of the changes and restrictions via the Code of Conduct and information for visitors that everybody has to agree to when they purchase tickets. As I said in my reply to your email - we also record this on our main website and while I agree there is a huge amount of information - I am sure if we hadn't included it all there would be people asking even more questions than they are asking us now. Regarding your question about other clubs - it's not particularly relevant in relation to our remit of trying to ensure that the Black Gold Stadium is the safest that it can possibly be. To allow us to increase attendance as we are doing, we have to assume a standing space of 1M plus - which as you will know - means people must take additional precautions of wearing a face covering. As to the snorkel question - I will leave that one to others more witty than myself to respond ;-) Enjoy your day on Saturday Pippa

With the whole of London going in to a Tier 2 lockdown, including Hendon. Will Saturdays match still be on?

Tier 2 means people can still travel outside there area so I guess Henson FC and supporters can still travel.Tier 3 states limited movement only for essential reasons work shopping etc...I guess.

Hope that you all enjoy the match. Slightly off topic but yet another reason to support Non League. Another controversy today over offside and VAR.Marginal offside and handball calls were always part of the game and gave the fans plenty to talk about. Ice Hockey solved a lot of the problem of missed officiating calls by putting out another ref Refs and the linesman should make a human call on offside and handball decisions;as they always did.

Well, I was very surprised on entering the ground to see so many people not wearing a face mask. So I asked a steward what were the regulations exactly. He didn’t have much of a grasp and referred me to another steward, who attempted to explain but then said he was just doing what he was told to do, and then referred me back to the first steward for enlightenment.
After a while I was approached by a third steward (red and white PTFC tie) who asked me what was my problem with wearing a face mask. I said I don’t have a problem and had worn a mask on three different trains to get to Poole. We had a discussion but he was unable to explain the conditions where a mask should be worn, so I offered him a get-out clause where it says in the lengthy regulations that you will be asked to wear a mask during your visit, or words to that effect, but it seems there is no enforcement of said regulations by the stewards. He was happy to take that one but still thought I had a problem with wearing a mask.
Truly not impressed, nothing to do with the score of the game.

There does seem to be a confusing sort of thought on where and when you should be wearing a face mask. Maybe the stewards involved did not want to be viewed as state policemen and left the common sense bit up to the general public. Your damned if you do, and damned if you don't.

As the match day announcer,I read out the "regulations " which I received from a director of the club. I looked down the Arthur Robbins stand,& the vast majority of the spectators were not wearing a face covering of some sort. Do people actually listen to my announcements? I kinda thought the so called Covid ambassadors should know & promote the wearing of such! I'm not criticising anyone, but I think the club staff should be firmer instigating the "rules".

There were a lot of people yesterday with out masks even the head of security. If we wont to make it as safe as possible we need people to have to wear masks if not no entry.

All clubs need to be careful. I read that Tadley Calleva had to take a step back in terms of attendance a few weeks ago (along with shutting their clubhouse) for not adhering to their own rules.

If someone has a medical condition that means they don't have to wear a mask, then they don't have to wear a mask. Simple really. This may include the head of security. We don't know & anyway it is none of my, your or anyone else's business as to why the aren't. For the record I wore mine when moving around the ground. But because I wear thick prescription glasses, only over my mouth. Over my nose is impossible without my glasses steaming up. Yes I have tried them under, over my glasses, but still the mist descends. Took it of in position, as per rules at Salisbury last week, as I was maintaining social distancing.
