Yes and I suspect Speedway may go soon too. Agree. I imagine that will hasten the sale and development of Wimborne rd

I believe their are covenants that would make a development consisting solely of housing difficult.

I wonder who had the final say that greyhound racing would no longer be continued?. Did all of the councillors have a vote on the issue or was the decision made on the say so of an individual ?. Doesn't seem to matter much today what people who actually live here think. One fewer place in the depleted town to spend a night out.

virtually everywhere in the western world is in the same predicament. Here in North America we are not quite so far down the road of post industrial society but amateur and semi pro sport is definitely hurting from COVID For PTFC i believe it will be a case of "an ill wind blowing nobody any good" A smaller stadium built on the lines of WTFC and available for sports other than football. Speedway will,i think go elsewhere(Matchams??) We get out of Tatnam and promote The Dolphins as winning Family entertainment in a good environment BPC council get some housing and hopefully the whole area from Kingland Rd up gets a revamp.Poole Bus station is a place i avoid like the plague when i visit and needs to be reclaimed.

Who's going to pay the huge anmounts to build this stadium? I think the present structure would be demolished. A few years ago Eddie Mitchell was co-opted and of course there was room for development AND a new smaller Stadium. Is this not how it has been done at Wimborne where they have sold the Cuthbury and the developer is building a new Stadium for them. Follow The Money!

That would mean a new stadium built elsewhere, if the Wimborne model is followed. Mind their new ground is progressing very nicely. Looking good.

Whether at Wimborne Road or another site, the cost would be covered by the developers and grants from the Football Foundation. However this is all conjecture and October is suppode to be the date of the big reveal.

There is a LOT of land in that area, especially when you look at the land adjacent to the railway which I think is still up for sale at the moment. A developer there could get flats along the railway side I imagine and then build a small community stadium and other housing on the existing stadium and car park site.
Let's hope so anyway.
