Yep, full draw is hereA shame, we came out of the hat in tie 113 of 117 and Dorch and Christchurch were still in the hat at the time so almost a local derby, they drew each other.

Be interesting to see what happens if they lock down in the next few days (the neighboring boroughs of RCT and Caerphilly are both under local lockdown and Merthyr is "under close watch".
Do they default if they have to go into lockdown or is this level of football exempt?

That's a shame as I remember when as a Wessex league side they came down to us for a FA Cup tie and we hammered them despite them being in the Southern Premier league and if I remember that was the last time they played in the FA Cup as Merthyr Tidfil and did not finish there season then!!!

There is a tweet from the bar manager that he now has a pub with a massive beer garden. It looks like they have suspended all football for a year.
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Put it this way I now own a pub with a massive beer garden</p>— Dial M For Mothball (@dialm4merthyr) <a href="https://twitter.com/dialm4merthyr/status/1307313786555072513?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">September 19, 2020</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
This has other ramifications. Welsh clubs are no longer allowed to join English leagues. Depending on how the two FAs look at it they may have to come back into the Welsh league system.

We understand that there is to be an official statement from the Merthyr Board tomorrow.

I am sure others will have seen but Merthyr have now issued a statement on their website therefore we can confirm they have had to forfeit their game tomorrow and we move on to the next round scheduled for the first Saturday in October. www.merthyrtownfc.co.uk/news/boardstatement210920/I know I don’t speak for everyone on this forum but personally I feel very sorry for Merthyr’s plight and look forward to meeting them again next season.

I know I don’t speak for everyone on this forum but personally I feel very sorry for Merthyr’s plight and look forward to meeting them again next season. I get why not everyone agrees but as a Welshman I'm gutted to see them drop out and feel for the many decent fans that have no local football to watch this season. They are responsible for me following the Dolphins as well, my first ever PTFC game was against them in the FA Cup not long after I had 'emigrated' to England from South Wales and my interest was piqued by playing a side from back home who were (at the time) higher up the League system than we were. I came as an interested neutral, saw a fella called Austin net a few goals and thought "he could be decent that lad". I wonder what happened to him?!
