Was hoping the home shirt would be exactly like the red & white one. Half & Half. It's why I voted for the change. If I had known it was going to be stripes I would probably have still voted that way as the club needs the money, but with a heavier heart. Still I will save some money as I won't be buying one. If the club had gone they way I thought I would have definitely bought a couple.

Some of those examples on the links above look like really bad ‘tie dye’ efforts fit only for 60s hippies like me. The gold on the new shirt looks a bit subdued but whilst I agree with choirboydave (black and gold halves would have been better), stripes will do - we need the money.
Just noticed that the club badge has been changed to suit the shirt colours. Another big disappointment for me I'm afraid. Hardly recognised the logo. [img alt="" src="//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/embarrassed.png" class="smile"]

That kit doesn't look bad. I presume black shorts and gold/black socks. Maybe we should take over Poole Borough. It looks to me like their ground could be developed into a decent stadium fit for the future. And yes, you should have stayed expat and, perhaps, so should I. COYD
There must be a number of the older generation who remembers the Bournemouth Gasworks Club. I remember watching Poole play the Bournemouth Gasworks at their Alder road ground must have been late fifties Rickaby played and if my memory is correct Poole had a trialist playing think Mullins was his name who had played for Bournemouth and Boscombe on the left wing could have been a Banks charity Cup match Poole won. I think the score was 5 3. but some of this would need checking out.
