Yes! Just seen the news on BBC fans from Step 3 down can now admit fans into their grounds. Probably to late for Hamworthy tonight. But from Saturday it could be game on.

Such great news - football is coming back! 15% of the step ground grading capacity ( step 3 is 1950) so 300 from Sat 22nd to 30th Aug. Then 30% ( so 600) from 31st August. Lots of work still to be done by Clubs to ensure they can provide safe environments, and ensure social distancing can be achieved. Lots of help also needed from Supporters who come to make sure they follow all the rules and guidelines. Now we can really look forward to the season starting.

Pip, are we likely to have to buy tickets in advance for all matches during this period so crowd numbers can be controlled and planned for accordingly?

Pip, are we likely to have to buy tickets in advance for all matches during this period so crowd numbers can be controlled and planned for accordingly? Pre sales and managing attendance numbers is one of the many things we have been considering over the last few weeks. We’ve gone through a number of scenarios and now we have an idea of the maximum we can allow, we have something concrete to work on. One thing we can say ( as Chris suggested in a previous post), season ticket holders will be given priority of entry to home league games.

The one thing it makes no mention of are is it home fans only or is up to individual clubs to take a decision who is allowed in?

As I see it we need to play a match at home before the end of August to then allow the higher gate entrance numbers in September. However it seems we have no home games in August as they are all away matches. This means lower gates for the matches in September?

I imagine one of those friendlies would be easily 'flipped' so we can get a 'test event' out of the way, or an additional game added against someone else.

I see the mandarins at BCP have applied to block off Tatnam Road at the Stanley Green Road. This will be to all cars, vans, coaches & lorries. Only pedestrians, cyclists & motorbikes will be able to get through. I should think this would make life very difficult for the club. Hopefully the club, other local businesses & residents can firmly but politely tell them to think again.

It's one of the Government backed Experimental Traffic Regulation Orders and they are asking for comments on their link [ below ] All feedback is useful to the Council: www.bcpcouncil.gov.uk/Council-and-Democratic/Consultation-And-Research/Consultations/Stanley-Green-Road.aspx"]BCP Link for consultation

Lets hope we're not talking bollards Dave. They're blocking off the High Street. We could be having a pushbike evening on the Quay. Best bicycle pump wins a prize.

It is worse than just closing Tatnan Road, it is Vicarage Road and the entrance to Stanley Green Road from Wimborne Road, thereby curtting off the whole of Stanley Green Road which is used by our supportors to get to the matchroad.
See below BCP statement
We are introducing three Experimental Traffic Regulation Orders (ETROs) to create a low traffic neighbourhood:
Tatnam Road, at the junction with Stanley Green Road Stanley Green Road, at the junction with Wimborne Road One-way section westbound at Vicarage Road, at the junction with Stanley Green Road
Please write in to BCP to oppose this
Formal comments If you wish to formally object to or support the proposed Order, please send your comments by 7 March 2021 to:
Covid-distancing@bcpcouncil.gov.uk, putting ‘ETRO/6/7/8’ as the subject heading, or ETRO/6/7/8, Growth and Infrastructure, BCP Council, Civic Centre, Poole, BH15 2RU. Each road change is being treated as a separate ETRO, so if you wish to comment please use the following reference numbers:
Stanley Green Road – ETRO/6 Tatnam Road – ETRO/7 Vicarage Road – ETRO/8 Please put the relevant ETRO reference (above) as the subject, include your name and address and specify the grounds for your support or objection in your response.

For a whole clutch of reasons it does not look likely that we will be able to have a home friendly before the league season starts, believe me I wish it were different--there is an outside chance that might change but at the moment that is not anticipated.
There is a huge amount of time being devoted to Covid Issues as you would expect.
Obviously we will be publicising full info and details re match arrangements at the appropriate time.

So the maximum for the 1st league home game can only be 300? What if this is a big match like Salisbury or Taunton which we could easily sell the allocated 30%. Even if we had a trial game at 15% 1st team against development squad? This would permit us too have a 30% capacity 1st league game? I just think that club could lose a lot of revenue before we have even started.

Yes find the situ very strange with deepest respect to the BoD surely just like all other teams local to us they have plenty of home pre season games and historically we have all ways had at least 2/3 home preseason fixtures arranged. Sorry but the way I see the situ is that the club need to arrange a home fixture even if its a in house game!!.

Fixtures out tomorrow. Great. With away fixtures, as fans, how are we going to get there? Apparently team coaches are deemed COVID unsecure. As I understand it, players have to drive to away matches, then drive home again after. Doesn't just affect Poole Town, but the integrity of the league. Imagine driving 2/3 hours to an away match, then playing 90 minutes plus, before driving home again. Quite clearly not possible. Between now & whenever we start common sense needs to prevail.

Agreed, a 52 seater coach could carry 20(ish) members of a squad and coaching staff fairly safely I would guess, with each player sat in their own pair of seats, two to a row. Club officials and fans I would imagine will have to find other ways.

In the FA Cup qualifying rounds there will be no extra time. Matches will go straight to penalties. Also were a club gets a COVID positive test (yes completely unfair) the tie (& presumably the prize money) will be awarded to the club that didn't. What happens if both clubs test positive, I have know idea.
