Just as a matter of curiosity does anyone know whether the F.A. have provided any support to non league teams like ours who are struggling to survive. If so, what sort of figures are involved. Plenty seems to have been handed out to league teams but unless I'm mistaken little or none has filtered down to our level. The old adage of money attracts money seems to apply as does, when talking about what to grant non league teams, an alternative meaning of sweet F.A.

Back on 8th June the FA announced a £7 million pitch preparation fund for all non league clubs to help during the Covid crisis. Don't know if Poole would be allowed to apply due to the lack of seasons left on the lease. But if it is purely for getting the pitch ready for next season (whenever that is - rumoured to be 12th Sept but no official announcement yet) I don't see why we should be denied a grant & some much needed funds to help us. Probably not enough to build the Tatnam Flood Barrier though!

Thought I read that we did qualify and that the club did get some kind of payment from the relevant bodes.

From the club Twitter account (11 June);
“We're excited to announce that thanks to @premierleague, @fa and @dcms's @footballfoundtn we've secured a grant that will keep the pitch looking its best, ready for when the season begins! We can't wait to get our boys back on it!”

Thanks for the update Chris. Not a mind blowing amount but if it's the max we could apply for then lets be thankful for small mercies. I wonder how that sum compares to the F.A. Chairman's monthly out of pocket expenses claim.

Chairman's monthly out of pocket expenses claim. Probably vastly reduced at the moment. All those zoom meetings & skyping means no overnight hotel (were closed anyway) stays or bar tabs to claim for!
