A real shame that Harry Baker has left us, where has he gone? Is it another local club?

The way things are going we will have a decent pitch, at a ground we probably aren't staying at long term, but no players to play on it. Will still be renewing my season ticket as soon as I know when we have a start date & not behind closed doors. Looking forward to next season (as & when etc) as we may get to see some more of these youngsters in the reserve & youth squads step up to our 1st team. COYD 🐬

With Billy Maybury leaving us it seems we now have only a half a team left!! Not a good situation.

But surely we must sign some defensive players? We only really have smeets, whisk and Spetch left.

The absolute worst thing about COVID is We do not know what the future will look like in sport or in everyday life on othe other side I know that for myself i do not want to wear a bxxxxy mask ad infinitum or not be part of a crowd cheering on my heroes in whatever sport Part of the human experience is relating to others of the species whether we like them or not! Yes,I see that we are losing players. We will overcome that by having a team that WANTS to wear the red and white and At this stage of my life I just want to see a Poole Town Football Club take the field. I do not care where or at what level they are playing. We have the honour of upholding a great tradition in our Team so....... we love our past we have faith in our future!
UP THE TOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWN!!!

It is that time of year. Of course we knew that some of our players were good enough for levels above and it shows we are doing things properly when they leave for higher leagues, Josh Lesley Smith was my player of the season last year and so a big blow and as for Jack Dickson, he is a loss when he has his head up, Luke Cairney going is a blow, especially losing him to Hungerford. However it is no crime for a player to want to play at a higher level, I would hope the whole squad want to do that with Poole Town.
It happens each year, we lose players and gain others, some work out some do not. I had a feeling that defence was our problem but the stats don't agree. Only Truro and Gosport have a marginally better goals against record once games played is taken into account. However the stats do show a lack of goals, especially this/last season. Harry Baker is undoubtedly a good striker but he never seemed to form the understanding with Marvin that say Luke Roberts has. Of course it would be great to have Luke back but maybe a young gun, in from the start of the season could form that deadly duo with Marvin. Anywhay whenever it starts there will be 10 men in the red and white and I will be behind them all the way.

10 in red & white, 1 in green!😉 I know that obviously, but you never hear them say oh there’s 10 men in red and white and one in green, it’s usually always there’s 11 in red and white out on the pitch 😀

i agree john about cant blame players to want to play at a higher level. If we were at a higher level they would stay and our team would build on it.Better football bigger crowds and more income to maintain it.We have played in higher level up one league before. We were averaging 600-800 fans at home games and flying high near playoffs to progress to the dizzy heights of the national league.(but not enough seats stopped us competing in playoffs that year and the following season we went down.Since then all fans have hung on to some big positive news to arrive to get the moral boosted again with fans and the players. The ambition of some players is apparent as you say john and moving on and upwards its a big shame the club is not in a position to follow. Please Please can we have that positive news sooner than later. fingers crossed for these bad times of this virus ends and the meetings and the footy can return.stay safe take care.

Perhaps they should both have chatted with Marvin and Luke Holmes before crossing to the RayMac. Everyone should remember that with the the grass is always greener at Tatnam .
