Hi everyone As most of you will be aware from the Home page www.pooletownfc.co.uk, we are launching a series of fundraising auctions The item on the home page “says it all” and bids will be updated there but in addition for Forum users we will also keep this “pinned” and will update the bids here as well. Pirates Team Manager Neil Middleditch gave us Speedway star Darcy Wards #43 Bumper and Poole Town fc supporter Ian Byrne generously passed on his prized Charlie Austin,Eddie Howe, Steve Fletcher signed football. We'll show the items on our Poole Town FC LinkedIn site and are very appreciative of these donations. We've received some outstanding items for next weeks auction and can't thank everyone for the generosity and support that's been given.

1. AN AMAZING PIECE OF FORMER POOLE PIRATE SPEEDWAY ACE DARCY WARD'S SPEEDWAY BIKE ( Courtesy of Neil Middleditch) (Highest Bid so far Steve Bambrey £200 has been received )
Darcy won the 2009, 2010 and 2011 Australian Under-21 Championships as well as the 2009 and 2010 World Under-21 Championships. He won Elite League Championship Medals with the Pirates 2011,13,14. Destined for superstardom Darcy's racing sadly came to an end in 2015 after sustaining a career ending injury. He'll always be a Pirate
2. . WORLD LIGHT MIDDLE WEIGHT CHAMPION JOHN CONTEH MBE SIGNED BOXING GLOVE (£100 RESERVE)
Our very good friend John Conteh MBE has kindly donated a signed Boxing Glove one of two that we’ll be auctioning over the next few weeks. In 2018 John Conteh was guest speaker at our Annual Dinner. This donation will make a fantastic gift for any boxing fan.
3. SPURS AND ENGLAND LEGEND JIMMY GREAVES SIGNED FRAMED PHOTO (Courtesy of Chairman Chris Reeves) (£200 Reserve)
Nicknamed quite rightly the Ultimate Goal Scoring Machine England and Tottenham's Jimmy Greaves personally signed this photograph of one of the finest goals he ever scored. Jimmy sadly missed the 1966 World Cup finals due to injury but is still one of the greatest goal scorers our country has ever seen. Watch his amazing skills on the YouTube channel.
4. SIGNED 'EDDIE THE EAGLE' EDWARDS 1988 CALGARY WINTER OLYMPICS COMMEMORATIVE PRESENTATION WALLET AND SILVER INGOT (£70 Reserve)
In 1988 Michael Edwards aka 'Eddie the Eagle' became the first competitor since 1928 to represent Great Britain in Olympic ski jumping, finishing last in the 70m and 90m events. He held the British ski jumping record from 1988 to 2001. He also took part in amateur speed skiing, running at 106.8 km/h (66.4 mph), and a stunt jumping world record holder for jumping over 6 buses. In 2016, he was portrayed by Taron Egerton in the brilliant biographical movie Eddie the Eagle with Hugh Jackman
5. ARSENAL VS AFC BOURNEMOUTH COMMEMORATIVE MATCH DAY SCARF (£10 Reserve)
Callum Wilson's 23rd minute pen that gave such hope only to be taken down by the likes of Alexis and Walcott. Still a fantastic day at the Emirates. Pick up this fantastic piece of the past for just a few pounds.

This ball was signed at the Andy Culliford Benefit and features signatures of players that attended including Harry Redknapp, Steve Fletcher and Charlie Austi
7. 1965 POOLE TOWN FC VS PLYMOUTH ARGYLE MATCH PROGRAMME (£20 Reserve)
The match was played at the Poole Stadium on Wednesday 20th October 1965. Manager at the time Eric Webber welcomed 2nd Division Plymouth Argyle to the newly formed Western Counties Flood Light League. Poole's line up was Mel Chandler, Tommy McGhee, Kieth Brown, Jimmy Goldie, Colin Osmand,Micky Davock, Pat Donovan, Jackie Henderson, Cliff Blasom, Ernie Pym and Bobby Mason. I do see a young chap called Reeves making his debut for the Plymouth, although I'm not sure if there is a connection to the Chairman.)

Yes sorry it's not clear from just the description is it - even the picture doesn't really show it! The main website though has a presentation picture and below it is does say Mudguard. Here's the link - there are pictures of all the items: Auction 2 items
