If & when we start playing again,I'm interested in what kind of squad we'll be putting out. A lot of clubs,I see on twitter, have started rebuilding already. I'll put this to the BOD if I may. Is TK planning to improve/upgrade the squad,I'm fully aware of the financial restraints placed on Tom after listening to the chairman on radio Solent,so is this going to be possible?

A crystal ball is needed me thinks to what might/will happen for non league football in the coming months just reading in the Non league Paper that Blackfield & Langley might not be around much longer if there request for a return to the Wessex league is turned down!!!!.

Given everything that happened last season I can't imagine that financially the club is in a position to go out and strengthen the squad.
If anything (sadly) I would expect that we might lose a few more players before we can start to build the squad up again. Players who are currently contracted will, I assume, become free agents at the end of May if it was only for one season and as they are largely our better players why wouldn't they want to try their hand at Step 1 or 2 football if given the chance?
Crikey that was depressing to type, I'm off to drive to Durham to cheer myself up!

The Golden Rule of Persons in Authority is 'Don't do as we do;do as we say!! Has any one entertained the thought that we might be playing in a different(lower?) league when play is resumed?

Strengthen the squad? Yea right, we were skint before the lockdown and couldn't play our games at home and the club were asking for money then from us, so Bugg3r knows where the money is gonna come from to strengthen and pay wages. Skint.

i posted that thought more in despair than anything else. seriously how can we continue to play at our current level? COVID is very demanding on us as we seek to support our favourite causes and for most of us there is only so much that we can give, so in all honesty i truly worry for the future of PTFC I just do not think our present situation is financially sustainable. we have been informed many times over that we do not have the support base of a team like Weymouth( a question that i fear will remain unanswered in my lifetime) The reporting of signings made by our competitors,( some of them from PTFC). only serve to remind us that the Tatnam Drain is ready to take us down if we cannot address our underlying problems
UP THE TOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWN!!!

Sadly P.T.F.C. Is currently facing a critical situation re finances and playing staff, and the long awaited promise of news on the ground I suppose has also gone down the drain now. :-(

Notice one of the items in the club's auction, is titled DAY OF THE DOLPHINS RE-LAUNCH EVENT PACKAGE. So looks like the club have something in the pipeline for the future. Hopefully including news on our long term future too.

Let's not be too pessimistic fellow Dolphins fans. There must be many clubs in a more parlous state than PTFC. We all hope for the best for our club and for football in general. I have every confidence in the BOD of Poole Town. COYD

Thx Brian I do wish we could get some INFORMATION from our BOD. i am willing to pay 200gbp for my season ticket. Are there 100 more PTFC fans who will join the movement This would put 20 thousand up for the Club to approach the future

National League are looking to start season 2020/21 in September. Wether behind closed doors or not depends on what the social distancing rules are at the time. So I assume Southern League will be doing the same. Although think behind closed doors for clubs at our level would be unviable. If fans are allowed in though it will probably mean the end of things like our club coach 😞, to away games, as social distancing on that isn't possible. Even with face coverings. Re face coverings has the club had a look in to getting some made. Red & white with the Poole Town badge in the centre or one of the corners. If so put me down for a couple. We could all like Dolphin Ultras!
