Why did they single out non-league? Surely it will be the mass attendance gatherings like the League of greed and festivals that will be the last to return or were they suggesting that they will be even later?

I guess the Premier league and EFL can afford to play all games behind closed doors and still pull in tv monies to survive but I guess if the powers to be say no gatherings of a few hundred then income for most non league sides would struggle to pay wages and run clubs with no doubt limited sponsorships and income just my way of looking at it.

Don't know how they are going to stop fans in PL & FL traveling. Because even if they can't get in some will.
As for our league, if we can't play until 2021 it will depend on when we can. If it is in the 1st half why not complete this season starting in April 2021 & finishing by end of May. No play offs, but promotion, relegation to take place. Ready for a full 2021-22 season in August 2021.

I've been musing this for a week or so. My thinking is if that the games go ahead, there would be either no fans, or a limited number based on what social distancing allows at the time. So, why not video the games and have the club controlling access to the full 90 minutes via an electronic season ticket. Not ideal but better than nothing. The club gets revenue, the fans get football to watch in the dry . ... I'm sure there are holes in that - fire away!

Strong rumours seem to be going round that a totally restructuring of the non league with a possibility of a National league Premier North and South to fall in line with maybe regiolisation from league 1 and 2???.I guess social distancing will have a big part to play if this might be the case.

Thank you for the updates HH. If the League goes to Div 3 north and South its deja vu. however if you are right about NL reorganisation, given our status at the moment, we are likely to be on the outside looking in from one of the lesser regional leagues, We are going to survive this!!

Thanks for your thoughts everyone. And thanks for reporting the rumour happyhammer. Where did it originate I wonder? expat is quite right, it would be deja vu for us oldies. I think regionalisation from the so-called League One (Division Three of course in reality speak) would be quite a good idea but rather too sensible for the suits who run our football.
