I am as hacked off as anyone BD but after tomorrow, no rain is forecast by the Met Office Thursday or Friday and the next rain forecast is Saturday at 3PM. Bring the kick off on Saturday forward to 1pm. Thus thwarting the weather gods, by playing before it starts raining! Would also save money as hopefully light enough not to need switching on the floodlights.

Is the SL going to come after us for the continual postponement of matches. They could take the view that Tatnam is an unsuitable ground and not up to standards. Any thoughts?? Tatnam/Black Gold (I thought that was coal) is, clearly, “an unsuitable ground and not up to” any reasonable “standards”. But we’re stuck with it. If the SL came “after us”, as you so appositely put it expat, I suppose we’d have to explore ground sharing. That would only be a temporary measure of course until we get a new ground with a 3G pitch (or are we up to 4G now - it sounds like the phones the mobile companies are constantly trying to foist on us). Or, we ‘take over’ the County Ground if it isn’t waterlogged by then as well. Meanwhile, our current plight could cost us dearly this season.

Well at least it is currently not raining tonight. Not much rain since about 2pm. So the met office sure got that wrong. To which end how quick draining/drying is the pitch? Does it clear in a few hours or does it take a day or two?.

Surely you would just pay a fee (£500) to rent the pitch and the gate money would be yours. Pitch hire fee would be a LTD company expense so therefore tax deductible

The Question is. Can we continue in this vein of rain ad infinitum?? Unfortunately Tatnam, great stop gap measure that it is,is now holding us back...in fact it looks to be critical. I realise that we do not want to jump out of soggy Tatnam into the fire AND I would hate for us to operate as anything other than PTFC so literally BOD and Supporters Where Do We Go From Here?? As i await the chorus of groans I still maintain the answer. accompanied by a 3G pitch is only half a mile away Perhaps our Stadia Uk director can give us a time line on how long the dogs will keep running..its hardly a growing spectator sport is it? Have we not tried every available option so far ? Yes! Dogs and Speedway or a Town Football club with over a 130 yrs of history? Something has to give!

On most of the days we have had postponements, several other games in the league were also called off. Sadly the South and Southwest have really been wet this month. On the bright side he forecast says no rain from now until Sunday.
