Are the club looking at any precautionary measurements for the pitch over this rainy period so we can actually see some home action?? Would a temporary pitch cover help the turf when large amounts of rain are forecast??

Nick, The cover would not work as the water drains from the school side towards the main stand. However there have been some measures taken to improve the drainage recently. The game last Saturday may well have been called off for a waterlogged pitch, rather than the non-arrival of the visitors. Hopwefully this will mean fewer postponements. We can never guarantee that games will go ahead and who knows, maybe there will be a drought in January and February. The main thing is that we get mas many games on as possible before Winter really arrives.

I have no knowledge of grounds keeping so I'm sorry for my ignorance but it's a shame we couldn't dig a trench and line it with tarpaulin to hold the water back by the fence that separates the school and our pitch

Ya canna change the laws of fussics Captain. Engineer Scott to Capt Kirk Tatnam since the long ago days of childhood has always been a place of water. Those buildings on Stanley Green Rd nearby are all on reclaimed land formerly tidal canals

If the water table is too high, you might just as well throw it over your shoulder and watch it flow back.

So what we need - as we all already know - is a new ground, a proper ground ........

On page 9 of todays Bournemouth Echo (Wed) an organisation called Climate Control have drawn up a map of what our local area could look like in 30 years time regarding the risk of flooding. According to that we could be living on borrowed time at our present home.

So might need to find someone where on higher ground. Cranford Heath anyone!

If those forecasts and maps are accurate, then Tatnam. the Stadium, and Hamworthy F.C would disappear.

If those forecasts and maps are accurate, then Tatnam. the Stadium, and Hamworthy F.C would disappear. Apart from the Orange One, does anyone really doubt those forecasts? Winters are warmer, more rain and the ice cap melting. If you look on the Environment agencyβs flood risk areas, the area from the North Stand to the houses at the bottom of Palmer Road are most at risk in Poole.

Quick, someone ring the County Ground and ask if we can play over there!! Does the County Ground have the required grading? If not didn't we play a home game in Warborne some seasons back. Alternatively we could always play one in Casterbridge if the ground in Havenpool remains unplayable.

Imagine if we had won those two home cup ties that we lost. The fixture situation is becoming a worry, but it could be even worse. We couldn't backdate home cup ties.

Is the SL going to come after us for the continual postponement of matches. They could take the view that Tatnam is an unsuitable ground and not up to standards. Any thoughts??
