As of 9:50, only Salisbury of the top six have a game on.

Is playing games elsewhere an option? Whilst a lot of games have gone today when many games do go ours will ALWAYS be one of them.
Could we use the County Ground? It's in the borough and has a 4G pitch so will stand up to any rain.
Is it even viable? Even just for cup games?

The last time we tried using the County Ground was not a success for reasons other than the weather. However, that was decades ago. We should arrange with the Dorset F A to relocate there, take over/amalgamate with you know who (perhaps let them choose the sock colour or something like that), develop the ground and - hey ho - the future of senior football for the people of Poole is assured. I cannot believe someone hasn’t thought of that before!

At this late stage of the game for us old timers Brian, i have to agree with you. between our apparent failings ON the field. OFF we are being sorely tested by the ongoing problems at Tatnam. Poole Fans should read the Terras twitter feed where they pay tribute to their teams guts and fight back spirit. where is ours?? I fear that once again this season we are literally treading water!!

Thanks expat. There was, of course, a time when the wisdom of sagacious ‘old timers’ such as ourselves was respected and acted upon. Not any more.

The quicker the Club can get away from their present ground the better, Wimborne match still on at the moment, and they have a pitch right by the river. I wouldn't be surprised if most of the first team plays at Portland for some much needed match practise after their poor run of form.

Regards the county ground i guess its prob a level or so down on the pyramid regards ground grading so if it had to happen i guess it would be Wimborne Dorchester or afc Bournemouth. Ive been down here since 2007 and ive heard a few ramblings regards a amalgamation between Hamworthy and us but historical differences say never i believe. Me personally thinks its the way foreward and could be very exiting. COYD

Wimborne are on top of a hill and the slope of the pitch may help drainage

Feels like groundhog day season after season. Heavy rain, game off, heavy rain, call for the forkers.... game off. Until we either rectify the drainage or leave Tatnam, this will happen again and again and again.

now 4 games behind teams in front of us,witch were all at home, these games are losing us a lot off revenue.for instance saturdays 350 to 400,tuesdays250-300,so at the moment a lose off about 5,000 pounds.

Well said happyhammer. As I understand it, our tenure at Tatnam is finite. In which case we will, ultimately, have to relocate or die.

Crazy! Anyway, hope you don't mind me posting, but as an outsider, I have no knowledge of the historic differences or politics between yourselves & Hamworthy. BUT, it is brainstormingly obvious to me, as an outsider, that some kind of coming together, makes ultimate sense, given your ground situation. With a 3g pitch, you can both use it week in, week out (I'm not sure what it's shelf life is or replacement costs ). If the Berlin wall can come down, surely you guys, Hamworthy & The Dorset FA can make up and come up with a business plan beneficial to all, to maximise the potential of the ground as an income generator & home for football within the borough. I'll leave in peace as usual. Good luck for the rest of the season.

When anything dodgy happens in that part of Essex, I am hmmm! 🤔 Hope they catch the people responsible of course, but somehow I doubt it. The FA fit & proper test, as a full fictional character once said, "MY A**E!"! Don't ever want to see Poole home games played at Hamworthy. Because Hamworthy is another town. Good luck to them in the Wessex League. We are Poole Town and all home matches should be played in the town of Poole.

and thats why the Berlin wall came down and Germany came united. Idealogical or whatever historic antagonism keeps you apart from doing the blooming obvious hinders any progress. Try looking at it from outside as I do, not an insular inside view. From my knowledge of Poole, you havent got many optioins. School field, or a potential (and I stress potential if you want it) move over the bridges. Gety the numbers people to look at it.
Otherwise, you spend the next however many years recycling the same old problems.

Hamworthy is, in the eyes of most people a borough of Poole. Just like Canford Heath, Parkstone and Oakdale. Were it to be our only chance of getting our games played, I would (in principle) welcome it with open arms

Canford Magna is within the Borough of Poole. The newly formed council recently gave the green light for 10 football pitches and associated facilities to be set out there, to be used in the main by young footballers as a training base.Is this the same councillors whom we are told are working tirelessly behind the scenes for PTFC ?. What privileges having money (£3.75 million) can buy you.

bottom line to all this Is... SOMEONE,SOMEWHERE in the Ancient Town and Borough DO SOMETHING!! It is patently obvious that if PTFC is to survive we are just about at the end of the rope!!

I guess I shouldn’t really respond to this thread but...watch this space.
The BOD are all fans - we are acutely aware of all issues and all possible answers.
It is not easy!!
We are, however, not letting the grass grow (no pun intended!) nor backing off from any challenge.
Be a fly on our wall for a couple of days- you would then get a taste of what an all embracing “hobby” it is to run this great Club of ours.

Towns & boroughs. Weymouth aremt even in Weymouth. Just in a mildly expanding place called chickerell, outside the town. Ñot a big problem. Like Hamworthy shouldn't be. With the right minds behind it.

I'm hoping that the recent joining of Bournemouth and Poole councils might actually be able to come up with something at long long last. If the disruptions of postponements werent an issue, who knows where we would be right now. Would the answer to all this be to stay where we are and ask the council for funding on a 3g pitch at tatnam? Personally I'm not keen on football being played on 3g but it wouldn't take long for the squad to adapt and if it means that every home game would be 100% on, we could actually gain momentum in results.

Again, same disscusion/debate, different season, Nothing new under the sun. All the while the clock ticks down on our tenancy at Tatnam, 6 years left on it? With it being that short a time left, I believe it limits our ability to receive funding?

Quite right BD and we need to be aware of it. Also, there is no doubt that the BOD have been, and are, doing everything they can to resolve this in time. Meanwhile we also need to be reminded that Hamworthy (along with Parkstone, Canford Cliffs, Branksome, Oakdale, Sandbanks and a lot more) are all inside the boundaries of the Borough of Poole.

If only the Gasworks ground was still there problem solved . Theres baron wasteland next to where I work on sterte next to the train tracks. Unfortunately we do not live in a football loving town and I'm sure the council wont want to allocate some of their expensive multi million pound land to something it's clearly not interested in. They would rather cash in with developers than keep the club afloat.

Same here, but I'd guess that area would be even worse for waterlogging given it's even closer to the bay?
