The relentless rain of the last week or so and the relentless rain that is forecast will present a huge obstacle to overcome in terms of the game v Met Police.
Our long suffering grounds man Chris kelly will be on site very early tomorrow in the hope that we have a chance.
After a long discussion with him today it has been agreed that if he feels that volunteers will do some good in terms of increasing our chances of getting the game on that he will spread the word.
We need people ready to come down with a fork. We will let you know if that help is needed.
Trouble is that the problem area is a meter lower than the rest of the pitch and the adjacent school field so all the water drains toward it and so much is underground so removing surface water just allows more to bubble up and take its place.
Grr!!!
Watch this space.

What time is early? Sunrise is at 7am tomorrow. ☀️ Can people bring additional forks for those of us traveling by public transport. As, not surprisingly, carrying a fork on a bus isn't allowed.

Looks like efforts may be in vain as more rain forecast... Sorry, but I'm not missing a certain televised game on at 9am tomorrow especially with 4 Bath lads involved!!!

I’m guessing because we just don’t know what nature has in store but if there is a call to arms it will probably be around 7.45/8.00am

What time is the Met Police team coach due to leave? I suppose a decision will have to be taken before then.

Without being a kill joy we are at present and for the next10 days or so having some of the wettest ever weather for a november and we are now seriously falling behind on league games even at this stage of the season has the club got a plan B?? i say this becouse last time we were in this situation we played a few league games at Wimborne and we could easily find ourselfes several games behind the rest by the new year period!!!

If the game does get called off, could be a blessing in disguise. Currently quite a few of the squad have bumps & bruises. Give them time to recover, as currently, the next Southern League match will be against Merthyr Town at home on the 16th.

As Met Police have tweeted - there will be a pitch inspection at 8:15 tomorrow Oh I get it now. Called off in time, so everyone can watch the rugby. Not me, think I shall sleep in my until the egg chasing is over.
