Dolphins unchanged this evening.
Cairney, Dickson, Leslie-Smith, Spetch, Whisken (c), Carmichael, Bedford, Moore, Baker, Brooks, Dennett
Subs: House, Grange, Smeeton, Jackson, Cope
Expect more of the same 4-2-3-1 that brought a lot success against Farnborough. Promising signs from that win showing the front 4 diamond are gelling well together.
Killick tempting fate without a keeper on the bench but he tells me that he feels he has too with so much depth.
The away side are as follows: Williams (G/k), Dyer, Smerdon, Nancekivell, Landricombe, Grimes, Colwell, Allen (c), Lewington, Koszela, Shephard
Subs: Bentley, Bastin, Elliott, Furness, Jagger-Cane
A few brotherly connections for Tiverton Nick Grimes is the brother of Swansea star Matt Grimes, and Louis Jagger-Cane on the bench is the brother of Jacob, who had two loan spells with Poole.
Funnily enough, Jacob Jagger-Cane scored when these two met here in 2013. Dolphins ended up 2-0 winners.
Expected the appearance of summer signing from Salisbury Flavio Tavares off the bench, but he's not here. House just coming back from injury, so might be a pre-planned absence.
Keep an eye out on the other side for fellow ex-Sarum wideman Chris Shephard. Dolphins fans will remember his contributions throughout Dorset Derbies with old foes Weymouth.

Lively start for Poole as Baker flashes a header wide after 5 minutes.

Neither side controlling the game at the moment. Poole had the slightly better chance and probably just edging possession.

Lovely worked move sees Bedford fool his man with a smart turn, before flashing his chance just wide! So close. 14 minutes gone, no scores yet.

not much to update on. 24 minutes gone, still 0-0 with no major flashpoints beyond a few hopeful efforts.

Ball is finally in the back of the net as Tiverton have a goal chalked off for a foul. No complaints, but Tivvy moving it nicely now.

From looking quite fluent on Saturday, Poole looking slightly disjointed. Hard to put a finger on it - either nerves or a second game in four days so early in the season. 35th minute now.

Both sides trying to force it with balls over the top and through balls into channels. Nothing coming off for either side.

A small break here as a Tivvy player receives treatment. Mini-team talks will hopefully give this contest a bit of a much-needed lift.
As soon as play restarts we're stopped again for a poor challenge from Bedford. He goes into the book. 44th minute.

Half-chance as a lovely lob from Carmichael finds Dennett, who can't control the ball under pressure. Sums up this first half - a few tempting balls with nothing on the end of it. Better second half needed.

There is a corner to come at the end of this first half. Now into a third added minute. A few tussles in the box is causing the referee to delay the kick being taken.

GOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAL - Brooks can't head home, second shot blocked from Bedford before Whisken smashes home from close range. 1-0 as the half-time whistle blows.

High challenge from Bedford who is on a booking. Ref in discussion with his linesman.

And that's the end of Bedford's evening - second yellow. High challenge wasn't a foul initially, but with discussion ref has booked Bedford for a second time.

Well worked move sees Baker and Brooks combine to open up a pocket of space for Dennett. Under heavy pressure he can only fire over the bar, but promising signs.

Approaching the hour mark, still 1-0 Poole Town. Controversial goal followed by a controversial dismissal. Still yet to see a shot on target in this second half.

Confusion as a goalmouth scramble in Poole's box sees a few tumbles, a few shouts and the ball escaping the danger zone. Somehow no goal, no penalty and now a Poole counter.

Poole persevering here - Moore's run down the byline allows him to feed Baker, but his shot's blocked. Getting lively now.

Few Ironic jeers here as the referee produces a yellow for Nancekivell here. Final quarter, Poole just keeping their heads above the water.

Dolphins on the counter - looks like it fell apart when Baker was dispossessed, but some quick thinking by Brooks feeds it to Dennett, who returns the favour - fantastic save by Williams to deny Brooks. 70th minute.
