Can't do either of those. Can only do 3 away to Weymouth, home to Yeovil, away to Salisbury (!?) Will be only possibly doing the Yeovil one. As for the last one. Still trying to get my head round it. According to their website it was at our request. Why! would we play one of our main rivals 1 week before the season starts? And at their gaff. What if we are due to play them the following week in our opening match or any time in August? Hasn't their manager caused our club enough problems over the recent past, without giving him opportunity for more. Really hope there is a rethink over this one & it is cancelled. I would rather give the players the weekend off to enjoy with their families, as it will be 9/10 months until they will get another one.

I know there have been a few other valid queries as to why we are playing Salisbury the answer from Chris is here: " The friendly fixture with Salisbury on 3/8 came about after we had been unsuccessful in arranging a game against appropriate opposition and Tom learning that Salisbury themselves had a free date .Obviously it is not usually the case that pre-season games are played against opponents from the same league bit in this case it was felt too good a chance to turn down bearing in mind that to play a side that we could beat easily or a side that was higher up the Pyramid would not be ideal so soon before the season started. Both of us were also running out of time to agree another suitable fixture elsewhere. To play a friendly with a competitive edge against comparable opposition to what we will face in the league makes a lot of sense, hence the game was fixed up. "

Really, 2 games I wouldn't entertain is Weymouth and Salisbury away, pretty sure most would agree, let's hope we come away unscathed.

Totally agree Deano when i saw Weymouth away i thought it was a misprint as a away fixture. Could understand a home game against them and as for a away game v Salisbury dont really understand that one at all!!!!

Could understand a home game against them and as for a away game v Salisbury dont really understand that one at all!!!! Why at Salisbury & nor at ours? Don't know what the clubs have agreed on the gate money & how it is to be split. But Salisbury will get a load of extra bar takings to boot, bet they keep all that! They can open their bar when ever they want, whilst we are limited to much days. I for one won't be adding to their pot on the 1st Saturday in August. I will however attend our league match there, which could be the 2nd Saturday in August. 🤔😉 While I understand Pippa's point of wanting game time against meaningful opponents, I still would rather have no game, or how about a match at Tatnam between two sides. Two mixed of Poole Town 1st & reserves. Say with 5 or 6 1sts in each with the rest coming from the reserves & U18. Now that I would definitely attend & pay a tenner to get into watch. Also it would be our bar that got the extra takings to strengthen our club & not help another club in the same league as ours do likewise
