If someone is down at Tatnam between now and then please can you change the date on the next game board please to the 12th. As I won't be able to get down to do it myself. Thanks.

Poole town fc twitter busy tonite with terra fans full of it lol You know me. I don't come on here for an argument. But, I must say, the amount of rain in recent days shouldn't stop a game being on, however Mickey mouse the competition. Yes, it frustrates our run in (and I appreciate that's not your problem ), but how do you think other clubs view your pitch when a bit of normal rain causes postponement? I understand Tatnam ain't Wembley, but there are areas where you have to up your game as a sports facility.

In total defence with regards the pitch situation, I shall just mention two words - water table... Tatnam unfortunately is not far above sea level and drainage issues subsequently are not the best... The pitch struggling to drain is not a new thing especially with the amount of wet weather we've encountered...
One of those things I'm afraid and until either a new home is found or it stops raining this is your lot....

...meanwhile the Ovalteenies lost 1-2 to the Fuzz;good result for the Town! Terrasdolphin - Poole money prefers dirt bikes and dogs to our National Game even tho we have(??) a director from the outfit that leases Poole Stadium. Unbelievable!!

It could have been worse you could have travelled from Chelmsford to find Torquay had postponed your game due to a waterlogged pitch. “ NON LEAGUETorquay United slammed after Chelmsford game gets postponed just over an hour before kick off Torquay United are being slammed this evening after tonight’s league match against Chelmsford City was postponed just an hour and a half before kick off. The National League South leaders announced the news and a waterlogged pitch at 6:30pm however there was no talk from them of any planned pitch inspection all day. Chelmsford City fans, staff and team had already made the long trek to the west of the country only to find out the pitch was being looked at before being deemed not playable “ fanbanter.co.uk/torquay-united-slammed-after-postponing-chelmsford-game-just-over-an-hour-before-kick-off/?fbclid=IwAR2ETBt2KC958gVb5DWoJYd14lIsrfdqRpAOzcIarlcon5IuRfOkWDvHR74

Terrasdolphin, drop a line with your concerns to Poole borough council, whom we are told are working tirelessly around the clock on the club's behalf. Better get a move on though, they won't be around much longer!.

The pitch was soft in places at lunchtime and playable. However over the weekend the forecast change from showerwdto prolonged heavy rain. It stayed at around 2pm and lasted into the wee small hours. Frustrating but the early decision was correct.
You do have a point though. We do have problems with the water table. We are a few metres above sea level and the sterean that takes most of the water from the pitch is tidal, high tide yesterday was 20:42, about when the rain was heaviest.
Of course there are issues with the drainage other than those listed above and while some were addressed last close season, some still remain. Anyway see you next week.

Thanks Heysham. I guess my comments were more out of frustration as, if the Metropolitan police game is in 19th, it clashes with Brandon Goodships, England C match. It's just frustrating! I appreciate what you have achieved in recent years. Hope you make the playoffs (as long as we are champions 😊).

Meaning the Met Police game will get moved again. A policeman's lot and all that!

Terrasdolphin One of our first concerns is always the travelling players and fans. How would you have felt if we'd called it off at the last minute. Ask Needham Market how they felt having their FA Cup game called off at 11:30 last December when they were already halfway through their journey to you.

Ask Needham Market how they felt having their FA Cup game called off at 11:30 last December when they were already halfway through their journey to you. Their journey was from Poole. They travelled down the day before. The rain became torrential, late Saturday morning. The pitch was playable in the morning until torrential rain. If the match had been put back till say 6pm, it would have been playable again. Sadly, they showed a lack of professionalism in their subsequent conduct.

Their supporters came from Suffolk and from where most of us stood, it wasn't them whose conduct was questionable
