Still trying to thaw out. Not a great game. Got very route one, from both teams. Thought Chesham were bad and didn’t offer a lot. We were only marginally better. A draw was probably a fair result. I won’t go into all the dramatics or complaining from the Chesham players...🙄
The ref let Chesham get away with murder, their antics were to fall over whn challeged and shout for a foul whenever they went in hard. We were lucky that only one player was injured. It is clearthat Chesham are bullying their way out of trouble. The Cheshamfollowerswere in the main well behaved but as we found before they do have at least one mouthy idiot following them,
However we should have enough skill and guile to beat teams like this. The only real positives? The game went on and a second clean sheet in a row.
Was not there due to surgery recovery but followed the commentary the guys seemed to think we started well for the first 20 min or so then let them back into it.The second half seemed a none event.Yes they seemed to be over physical but as said we should have enough about us to win these sort of games.I see Mr Hubbard on the bench i hope Jordan Williams does not decide to go elsewhere we seem to be playing players out of position and dont understand that a very good right back is left on the bench i appreciate its hard picking a side but i just hope maybe Jordan was injured thus not on the bench!!!!.Attendance i see 211.
Let me start with the game, a draw was probably a fair result in what was a hard battled game with little quality.
What concerns me more than the performances on the pitch are the disappearing crowds. Two years ago we would double the crowd of Wimborne for a midweek fixture but Wimbornes crowd last night was actually 15% BIGGER than ours was. For me that's unacceptable for Poole Town.
People are either staying at home or deciding that their hard earnt money is better spent down the road at Cuthbury.
Our average attendance this season is 351, whilst Wimborne is 400.
Had to miss the match as my boss was Ill so I pulled a double shift. Doesn't sound as if i missed much. Positives: unbeaten at home in 2, 2nd clean sheet in a row, and unbeaten in 3. So it's not exactly the end of the world )
Another soulless night at the Tatnam. Little changes a few diehards shouting encouragement but the overwhelming majority just sit/ stand moaning and wish they were elsewhere. Can we blame people for staying away the last 18 months Poole have played no better at home than a parks team. Supporting your team through thick and thin is laudable but there comes a time when your enjoyment for £12 a pop is really to be questioned.
