Just seen on Bashley's Twitter page that Trevor Parker has passed away. Trev, was our manager at Holt fc when nobody would touch us. We wouldn't be where we are if it wasn't for dear old Trev. RIP gaffer

So sorry to hear of his passing. I remember days at Holt. It was under Trevor that the long fightback began. Respect.

When hope had gone he started the road to recovery. Played a huge role in the club's revival. I remember a night at New Milton I think when we hadn't won for so long finally getting a win. Fondly remembered.

The appointment of Trevor Parker as our manager after we had been forced out of the Southern League and had to drop to to Hampshire League football At Holt to stay alive as a Club was immense. It gave me personally a huge boost that someone of his non-league pedigree was prepared to join our battle to come back from the dead. It made the rest of the football world locally realise were not finished. He brought us credibility and under his guidance we all started to believe again,to enjoy our football again. he has lived abroad with failing health for some years now. I have been in contact with him periodically and i know he was very proud of all we have achieved--he was the start of the comeback. It is a timely reminder of what we have achieved against so many odds. RIP my friend-I hope that you were always aware just how much gratitude I personally felt to you for all you did for our great club at its lowest ebb.
