Defence all at sea. Midfield only slightly better. Few positives tonight.

That was nothing short of an absolute disgrace, my blood is boiling. If the BOD, Tommy Killick it any of the players are reading this then you should be ashamed of yourselves. Sort it out. Disgraceful.

Persuaded 3 mates from work to watch the game last night with me and I am so embarrassed. Asked them if they were interested in coming Saturday and their reply was 'cant justify spending another £12 watching Sunday League defending' When are the club going to realise that we need designated defensive backup for injuries, suspension etc etc. We cant keep using midfielders and wingers as defensive cover, otherwise there will be many more similar results.
Also Luke Roberts is a totally different class. I feel he deserves to be playing at a much higher standard than where we currently are.

This was always going to be a tough match. Lee Spalding has assembled a very good squad at Swindon and I don't doubt that they are headed for the playoffs. A lot of skill, a lot of pace and they have one of the league's very top marksmen (which also implies he gets a LOT of deliveries). Added to that our defending was very poor, but to be fair, with three out of four first choice defenders out of the equation on the night there were always going to be gaps. Mind you, I've seen worse ie back in the day when we were fielding schoolboys at the County Ground in the season we dropped out of the SL. We've had some great years, now welcome to the real world. As we know from recent experience even super-rich teams like Man U can hit a long bad patch. So, I'll be at the Tatnum through thick and thin. Positives? 1) The lads didn't give up. At 1-5 down they still won more corners and fired more shots than I've see in entire games last season; 2) Two superb goals from Luke Roberts (a well read free kick from Luke Cairney providing the opportunity for the first). So. Moaning over boys and girls. Time to get back in the saddle and strive for a better performance on Saturday.... COYD!

Melvyn, you are quite right to be positive (as wiltshiredolphin also said) but one can understand the frustration of Dolphins fans after the latest debacle! Not just beaten, but thrashed at home - AGAIN!
We can compete on any ground in the league - as long as it isn't our ground! We are currently TOP on away form and THIRD FROM BOTTOM on home form (I think someone else made this point too).
I try hard to be positive but it's getting increasingly difficult.

Positive - Luke Cairney looks a tremendous keeper. Couldn’t do much about the goals (got too much on the shot for their first goal). His distribution, balls skills and kicking is well above average for this level.
