how times have changed. I can remember a certain PC who gained a reputation for confiscating the football from groups of lads playing in the back lanes of Heckford Park

The club are as frustrated as you. It is only advice. Not an order. The club could & should ignore it. Hope the match at their place at the end of the month isn't segregated as well.

Overkill and totally unnecessary. Was hoping to attend with a group of friends, some supporting PT while others are supporting the Magpies. They are actually parents of opposing players but guessing that isn’t going to happen now. Stupid decision by the police!

We have contested this directive vehemently.
I feel strongly it is not needed.I have apologised to the Dorchester Chairman who I know well and is a delightful man.Our relationship with Dorchester is a mix of rivalry and friendship.
Regrettably given the world we live in,it is just not practical to go against a police directive of this nature- our insurance would be invalidated and almost certainly the police would not allow the game to take place on that basis.
Life is not always as simple as one would like!!

Not blaming the club Chris just an out of touch with the public police force.

From my information it’s due to one of dorch fans behaviour that the game has been requested to be segregated

Hi just been and watched my boy play Dorcester in an under 13 game got talking to a parent who goes and watches Dorchester he said he will not be there on Tuesday due to the segregation. He goes with his 13 year old and said he did not go to the Weymouth game for the same reason . I was thinking is he one of many who don't go because of segrigation and if so is this why local Derby gates are down. Only reasons for segregation is a few mindless idiots and I am sure the clubs know who they are so surely banning them from local derbys could make it a better option and doing away with segrigation in the lower leagues .
What do you All think.

Let's hope the catering turns up for them unlike for Salisbury & Wimborne. Apparently up that end you couldn't get even a cup of water.

First game I’ll be able to get to this season and looking forward to it. It’s a shame about the segregation but I doubt it will make too much of a difference either way.

Can we just not let that fan in? Problem solved. The rest of us can then enjoy the game and move around the ground as we please.
