Worst referee I have seen in years and that is saying something considering the clowns we have had in the last few games. However we still should be able to put teams like Gosport away. Why? Please expand, or is it just frustration in your part John?

Not the best game I have ever seen but not the worst either. I'm not one to criticize normally but the ref was truly awful! I don't know how the Gosport no.4 got away with a yellow when it looked to be a straight red. Also Luke Roberts got fouled, ref doesn't blow the whistle so play continues and then when Luke is taken out in the penalty area he gives a free kick for the first foul. What? These were just the worst examples. Personally I thought JD had a very good game so was surprised when he was substituted. Yet again we let in a soft goal but that aside had we had a half decent ref and a little luck we would have come out winners. However a point is better than none and we must look onwards to Tuesday and another local derby. Come on you Dolphins!

Pretty uneventful game, and as already mentioned the referee and one of his linesmen did us no favours. After encouraging draws against Salisbury and Weymouth, I think most of us expected to turn Gosport over, but we didn't, and I think we will have to scrap on Tuesday night against Dorchester to pick up points.

Due to work and family commitments (and postponements) this was the first game I have attended this season. I thought we played well with lots of intent. JD was lively (I would have kept him on). Looking through the team I can’t say anyone had a bad game, it was just one of those days. Defensively we were never really tested. They had one chance in the first half and scored, followed by a 5-10 minutes spell in the second. I thought we were much the better team, but sometimes in football that doesn’t translate to a win. We have obvious quality in the side. I thought Constable was brilliant today, holding the ball up, laying the ball off and winning lots of flick ins. Maybe we won’t make the playoffs, but we are still a good team.

Yes your right regards the futher but i really do think we need a good hard look at ourselfes as a club from the officials team management and players.I think we have a very tolarent and loyal group of fans that quite honestly deserve better. We understand that its not easy trying to run a club on poor gates(yet on saying that look at Hartley Witney met police Kings Langley and Beconsfield )teams that struggle to attract over 100 on some games yet they are all above us.As mentioned so so many times we have a population catchment area that is massive and we still cant in my opinion attract the quality player that serveral of our rivals have. That said thats my opinion also i personally would love to see more transparency between the BOD managment with the fans.I love to go on media eg YouTube and listen to what Taunton manager or Allison at St Albans city has to say about a perticular performance win draw or lose after a game i feel it brings all parties together and im afraid that is whats lacking too.Yes im a lomg with every other fan Board member playing staff and managment absolutely gutted with our plight at present on saying that as i have before our surrondings go with the standard we are at on the pitch but i would hate to see us lose our Premier division status after relegation last season. Finally i might sound harsh but im just saying what most of our loyal supporters are thinking.COYD agree with you there

Please stop with the ref excuses it is becoming totally boring - win the game and it is immaterial ! I believe that this was the first negative comment I have EVER made on the forum (unlike some). In the first half the Ref seemed to give every throw in to Gosport regardless (perhaps influenced by the blind linesman on the stand side) and every potential corner was judged a goal kick. Add to this three penalty shouts dismissed (the one I mentioned in my comment was clear cut) and the fact that Gosport should have been reduced to ten men made things very difficult for the lads. Boring? Dunno. Accurate? Yes. I'm not one for slagging opposition teams, our lads, TK or the BOD (I happen to believe that they all do the best job they can) but in this case the ref was truly awful and this had a major impact on the game and the result.

Why was Jake Scrimshaw not even on the bench yesterday? Is he injured or is it because his father has intervened & said he is not travelling from the IOW for 20 minutes football, coming on as a substitute. Also how is Ollie Balmer getting on. Is he still banging them in for Blackfield & Langley or as I heard yesterday, is he on the other side of the harbour playing for Hamworthy? I know not if either of the above is true. But heard both from to separate sources. So no fire with out smoke or maybe the other way round. 🤔

Firstly ‘Scrimmy’ has a slight muscle strain, nothing serious, but was declared unfit to play on Saturday by AfcB. He may be back for Tuesdays game but again that very much depends on their physio’s decision. AfcB’s treatment of the boys, when injured, is excellent and they never rush them back until fully fit. This is particularly important for Jake as he has already been offered a 2 year pro contract with the Club so is very much an asset. Secondly, he does not travel from the IOW for games as, like all scholars, is based in Bournemouth. Also his family have shown fantastic commitment and support for Jake over the years but under no circumstances do they interfere or complain about anything. They entrust Jake to AfcB and it is them and them only that make decisions regarding Jake’s future.
As regards to game time, Bmth have someone employed to monitor how their loanees are doing and Jake’s lack of game time has been discussed by both parties. This was the problem with Brennan Camp who, it was felt, would be better elsewhere due to limited opportunities with the Dolphins. Thus he was moved on to Dorchester Town where he has played their last three games, earning a motm in one and scoring the equaliser against Taunton yesterday. As per all my posts I believe Poole missed a great opportunity with Brennan as I rate him highly but can also understand the Club unable to give him the game time at the expense of Will or Jamie.
Hope that clears a few things up and stops any heresay.

In defence of the officials, this did not cost us the game but might have made a big difference if say one of the penalty decisions had been given. You have to beat what is in front of you however and the real reason we failed to win is that we cannot seem to break down a well organised defence. This is the frustration on my part not the officials.
