After last night's electrifying debut, I think we need a nickname for Jake. Mr Goals has rightly been claimed by Gilly so here's my starter for ten. Jake 'Six Pack' Scrimshaw. Over to you.😉

Why not just call him Scrimmy? That is his nickname after all!

I’ve known him and his family for a few years. That’s what he is known as in and out of football 👍

Is this a record 6 goals in a Poole Town FC 1st team match?? Great debut for Jake, lets hope he can repeat the action this Saturday.

In one match he is now top scorer for the season. Really hope he gets his chance Saturday with what will be much tougher opposition. Apparently Portland made as many changes from their normal 1st team than we did last night. Thought it was very nice of us to give them a one goal head start, before the Jake Scrimshaw Show took over. Of course he quite rightly gets the headlines, but the service he received both from midfield & the flanks was also 1st class. Shows we have strength in depth at the club, both to cover any suspensions, injuries (although I hope no one does) & gives proper competition for 1st team places throughout the side.

The question is of course How long do we get his services for?

The question is of course How long do we get his services for? I believe it's a season long loan, but AFCB can call him back as & when.

Also if they do, can they loan him out to another club? Don't like discussing another human being like this. Because the way only person the matters, in all of this, is Jake Scrimshaw. He should have the final say in everything as it is his life we are discussing, as though he as no say in it at all. If I were him I would do what ever mad me happy &/or the most money.

As I understand it Jake is on loan until the end of the season and will only be used for the FA Youth Cup matches by Bmth. It is highly unlikely he will be recalled and loaned to another club unless Bmth feel he is not gaining anything from his ‘work experience’ loan with Poole. Like all Youth scholarship players he has no say as to where and when he goes as the Club do what they feel to be in the best interest for the players development. This is normal for 2nd year scholars as part of their education. Currently other players are on loan at Totton & Ealing, Fawley, Weymouth and Bashley with the possibility of one or two other players being loaned in the not too distant future. At the end of the season all scholars will then know their fate as to whether they will be offered their first pro contract, moving into the U21’s, or released from the Club which obviously will be massive disappointment to them. As for money, they are serving an apprenticeship, and are all paid the same to reflect this. Hope this helps.

Thanks Stato. That information is, indeed, helpful and also very interesting.
