A lovely evening again tonight so I'm looking forward to another dose of Poole Town Football. I wonder who will turn out for the team today.

Good game against a good team. The team looked brilliant and hopefully they can push for spots in the First team, to push everyone to the best of their abilities.

A 6-0 victory against a strong Sholing team who have played together for a while and not lost many games, they have won the Wyvern Combination League for three consecutive seasons. They are also the current Southampton Senior Cup holders. A 1st half hat trick from Dan Munday, along with a nudge over the line from Jordan Dent sent the Poole Town FC Young guns in 4-0 ahead. In the 2nd half strikes from Bryce Banfield (I think) and Luke Roberts completed a comprehensive win. With 7 changes made and 4 players missing, all bodes well for the U21 squad. Other highlights included a 60 minute cameo from Micky Hubbard, who was terrific for the youngsters, inclusion of all 4 New Milton boys - Manny, Matt Odell, Sam Davidson & Sam Bayston, some game time for 2 exciting prospects in Dan Munday & Luke Roberts,a core of last years U18's and the warm up done by the very man himself Tommy Killick. ( did you see those tracksuit bottoms !!!)
For those of you who don't know we have been very fortunate in securing Shaun Brooks' help with the U21 and with only a months training together & 2 games under our belt, for those of you who supported last night I hope you could see that we have stepped up the Youth Development this year and have really got a squad that will truly add value to the 1st team.

Fantastic update Nick and reassuring to hear all that is going on. Seeing some of the youngsters in the 1st team squad must be an incentive. This is all helping the club go forward in the right direction. Well done to everyone concerned and all those supporters who went down to get behind them.

Andy has updated them now to the U21 section of the website: www.pooletownfc.co.uk/21s-fc/Rob/Nick can you tell us which league the team will be in and where we can easily find the fixtures / results - I assume they will be in a league reported on the full time website?

Thanks Rob. full-time.thefa.com/Index.do?league=32394279I wonder whether someone could add the full time page on the U21 page on the Poole town website - it looks very barren at the moment. Maybe the U21 page itself could be brought higher up the menu tree as well? At the moment the main menus under other teams lists - reserves, ladies, under 16s FC Girls, disability Team, Community page and youth teams. All of these are virtually empty apart from the girls page. The U21 team page is fairly well hidden under youth teams menu.

I have moved the U21 page to the top of the 'Other Teams' menu so it should now have a higher profile / easier to find.
