With 8 weeks since the first team faced league opposition and 6 weeks for the reserve side, today was the day for both teams to dust of their boots and return to league action. The first team travelled away to Forest Green Rovers reserves looking to complete the double over them. The long trip was worth while though as Poole overcame their hosts 4-1 which two goals apiece for Sam Gubb and Stacey Ayling. Special mention should also go to the goalkeeper,Louise Griffiths, who pulled off a stunning one handed save with the score line at 2-1. Not to be outdone, the reserve side faced Poole Borough in the local derby and were once again looking to outdo their rivals. Poole town fans were not disappointed as the reserves emphatically beat Borough 6-1 with goals from Rebecca Miles(2) Rosie Northeast (2) and one a piece from Tash Haysom and Fiona Thomas. The reserves remain unbeaten this season and are closing in on league leaders Dorchester. Next week sees both teams in action in the County cup quarter finals
