Important news from Morecambe!! For the second time I have washed a pair of trousers with my mobile phone in one of the pockets. I have discovered that this is not terribly good for mobile phones and the Morecambedolphin has - again - kindly bought me another one. Meanwhile, I have lost all my contact numbers of course. I am hard at work learning my new mobile number which is 07881677041

My wife washes my trousers. It saves her having to regularly pay out for new mobiles. Pass this tip along to the MD.

Sometimes, if the phone was off, you can try to take the covers off and dry it out for a few days. Also some phones save contacts on the sim card. May be worth seeing if any contacts are on there by putting it in the new phone.

Brian. Your old sim should work in your new phone giving you the old number back.

Thanks for all the comments and advice friends which came too late for me to rescue anything from the old phone - my own fault of course! The MD will be particularly pleased with the contributions from RTS and sterte! ;D
