Please could someone identify the Petersfield scorer. I think it was the 12, but not certain. Talk about scoring with the last kick of the game! Many thanks.

Yes it was the No.12 who nodded the rebound in off the post. How on earth did Poole not win yesterday, after a pretty even 1st half I thought that we dominated in the 2nd half without getting the 2nd goal. Two clearances off the line and a great save by the keeper from Anthony Warrington and I cant remember Kevin Scriven having anything to do, and then we all know what happened at the end!! But I guess that is football and you are never safe with only a 1 goal lead.
I do think though that we need to bring a striker in to finish off these chances and put the game beyond doubt, with Brown and Turner now gone, we have Joe Collins playing up front who is doing well but is usually a midfield player. It'll be interesting to see if Tommy can bring someone in.

Yes I agree, Chris Snell could do a good job up front and there are a few others in the reserves that could do a good job in the 1st team.
I think that the big Norwegian who played up front for us last season is now playing for the reserves also.

I think we need to give a little more credit to Petersfield for their efforts rather than get too critical of our team. We would have been three up if it wasn't for a superb save from their keeper from Anthony Warrington and the goal-line clearance from Taffy's header. Petersfield stuck at it and took their chance.
To keep things in perspective, those supporters that went to Petersfield would probably have settled for 4 points out of 6 this season when we were 2-1 down and being outplayed.

This message board seems always to criticize the forwards for not scoring. Perhaps consideration should be given to the approach play and the service that the forwards are given. I would suggest that this is not always playing the their strengths

yes i agree. i think that joe and carl played well together upfront, perhaps 1 or 2 more games and they could become very good. just remember tho, carl was playing a bit here and there then thrust straight into a game, gotta give the youngster a chance aint ya??!!

We have scored 87 goals this season so far. Our defence is as mean as they come, We have several players who can play in several positions. We have an array of talented youngsters. We have a superb manager. We have Taffy. We have superb support. All seems pretty good to me!!!

Petersfield fully deserved the battling point, we may have been backs against the wall for long periods but if we're all honest Town defended solidly and the counter goal was always on the cards!!!!!
