FINAL RESULT:
POOLE 4 LYMINGTON 3
sterte says "they got too cocky at 3-1 up and lost a man. We kept playing our game and came back at them, the substitutions worked. Good for Smithy to score. We missed Browner but Charlie was great!"
WHAT A GAME! WHAT A TEAM! AREN'T YOU ALL PROUD OF THEM! NOTHING CAN STOP US NOW _ EXCEPT THE FA MAYBE!

We showed tremendous strength of character to come back from 3-1 down, but to be honest we should've had it buried after 60 minutes. The lack of matches seemed to have blunted our shooting and we could've had a hat full. We seemed to go to sleep at the back. THEN. They were celebrating like they'd won the cup, and we proceeded to rip them apart. Charlie seems to improve with every game and is showing some fine trickery. Our wingers kept at them and the pressure told. You could see how much it meant to the players, and hopefully the film of the game will be on YouTube soon. An exciting game, not helped by a stop for every thing ref. But who cares, another 3 points, another all round team effort.

I am hoping to make a home game before the end of the season - maybe a midweek game - and a pop in to my folks in Honiton after. Chips at the Tatnam fish bar - is that still open? mmmm Tatnam chippy is still there, not bad at all.

The result is on the Wessex League site already! 82 points! Only 15 more to beat last season; only three more wins to beat last season; only 25 more points to beat last season's champions!

Great thread guys. Thanks for your efforts.
Imagine just reading the score after 90 mins. Would you have sensed the tension and excitement?
I should not have been there tonight, but my plans changed, twice. First I should have been in Germany, then I chose (wrongly) to attend the England game, but eventually came to my senses and bailed on England to come and watch England's #1 side instead. Right decision.
COYD!!! A great escape, now let's escape from the Wessex.

No, there would have been no sense of the ups and downs of the second half dy! You and expat arrived at critical points and that's what turned the game! together with the faith of the rest of us!

Would be nice to think that the players did that for my arrival, but we were 1-0 up when we arrived and were soon 1-3 down. It was the first match for one of my daughters so superstission was getting the better of me. I was even thinking of banning her from coming again.
But thankfully with that comeback, she can come again, much to her delight.

I took both daughters, was thinking the unlucky one was the non playing one. She likes to go by the name of lil dorset yellow, so you can guess her loyalty. Although she enjoyed tonight and was quite sweet on Charlie.........well has been since the open meeting.
The other daughter who plays for PTFC Wessex U16 has been to quite a few games. She plays in defense so watches Lamin. Hope she didn't notice his mistake for the third. Her favorite is Smithy. Nice to see him get on the scoresheet today.
Might need a whip round to make all the remaining games.
I do suggest we ought to start thinking about a DRINK THE BAR DRY challenge for the championship winning game. Think I will get dropped off for that one.

I think the bar was drunk dry at one of the vase games, only a quick phone call by Fi or Nat to get extra stock in svaed it. just as the beer ran out the delivery guy arrived how was that for timing !! I was late missed the first 30 minutes and throught the boys looked sharpe for the last 15 minutes of that half, they lost it slightly in the second half but got their heads back in the game to win, i know Jase was disappointed with himself, but hugs and kisses from the girls soon cheered him up . Smithy was very pleased with his goal ;D, and is looking forward to celbrating his 21st birthday in the next week or so. Charlie. well not much keeps him down for long, and he was back to his usual happy go lucky self, stuffing himself with stew and mash, was a bit disappointed that the food all went so he could not have seconds !! I think Marlane has switched every thing to low fat so as to help keep the weight issues some of the players have down
