Blimey - Its only been a few hours since I last logged on to the forum and I've missed all these postings!!!
For fear of being lynched by the Poole Town faithful if I don't move it - consider it moved!!! (Although I agree - it is off topic)
Also - please refrain from any insulting comments (I've removed one).
Now back to the forum to catch up on the other several dozen postings in the last few hours.............!!!
PS Amongst all this thread - I loved Doug's comment about the irony of slepe12 suggesting it was off topic!! Made me smile!!! ;D

i dont mean to be rude but you guys maybe better off with a water polo team rather than a football team.
water levels our rising due to the earth warming. If you plan on playing football then i think you would be better off working on sea defence rather then team defence

Poolequayfc You asked about Lee Russel as a player he played for me for a season in the Dorset Prem quaility player and sound guy. If your starting in Dorset Div 4 you will not find a better captain. Good luck for the future.

Poolequay seems to have gone very quiet. Where's all the money coming from. Also, I lived near Reading for a few years, Tilehurst aren't exactly Wessex League. Perhaps you're from Southcote?

At the risk of provoking him into action again, perhaps he's beginning to twig just what's involved in running a club at this level (and it's a lot more than £500 a month as suggested somewhere on the PQFC forums!). He clearly knows nothing about proper non-league football (as opposed to Sunday league stuff) as he also appears to think that joining the Dorset Saturday League Div4 will get his club in to the FA Cup! I'm reminded of the Father Ted scene where Ted is trying unsuccessfully to explain to Dougal the difference in size between a toy cow and the real cows in the field that are a long way off.

What, you don't think they'll have that friendly against FC United next summer then? Oh, ye of little faith!
Anyway, it looks like the "Managing Director" has found a major corporate sponsor to put 50p in the internet meter so they are back online now.

I think everyone is missing an opportunity here. I would like to try and get myself fit to play for a team like this but I think I would be spending all my time on the physio's bench. poole-quay.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=2

I'm broad-minded, but I think I'd still prefer the Lehmann Sisters.
